Persona Attributes

Appearance.

Shura is a tall, slender, and athletic young man. He has short, spiky hair with bushy sideburns, thin eyebrows, and sharp, narrow eyes with small, opaque irises. His eyes and hair are a teal green.

Personality.

Shura is portrayed as someone with an inflexible and honorable character, like that of a samurai. He considered Aiolos and Saga his superiors, but was outraged when he was declared a traitor to the Saint of Sagittarius. Since then, he has remained loyal to the pontiff (Saga) despite knowing his intentions. He is so strict that he urges Aiolos to commit suicide twice, to stop dishonoring the Sagittarius sign, the second time stating that he will assist him in his suicide, like a true samurai. Shura is devoted to Saga of Gemini for his ideal of protecting the strongest to rule the world. However, this way of thinking was destroyed when Shiryū of Dragon sacrifices himself for justice, an act that would restore his faith in humanity, giving his life so that such a noble warrior could continue living. He retains a character that defends justice and pride, self-proclaimed as the most loyal Saint to Athena. Despite this title, he is shown as a cold and strict warrior who lacks compassion for the weak.

History.

At the age of ten, Shura had already become a Gold Saint, wearing his Cloth at such a young age, like other young Gold Saints. Under unknown circumstances, Shura, along with Aphrodite of Pisces, Camus of Aquarius, and Deathmask of Cancer, learned of Saga's imposture as the Sanctuary's Patriarch. He decided to follow him and fight under the ideology that the strong are best suited to protect the Earth, and therefore, justice. Shura, who admired Aiolos' sense of justice, was very disappointed to learn that his comrade had betrayed the Sanctuary, attempting to escape with baby Athena in his arms. He tried to stop the Sagittarius Saint in the Temple of the Wild Goat, but was immobilized by Athena. After meeting with Deathmask and Aphrodite at the Sanctuary exit, where they knew Aiolos would leave, Shura broke the collapsing bridge where the supposed traitor lay. Reluctantly, he portrays the confrontation as advantageous for Shura because Aiolos wanted above all to protect baby Athena. Believing Aiolos to be dead and unaware that the baby was his goddess, Shura decided to leave empty-handed. Years later, after crossing the Temple of Capricorn, the Bronze Saints became victims of Shura's attack, which split the ground in two. However, everyone managed to cross except Shiryū, who made sure the Gold Saint didn't pursue his companions. Shura revealed himself as Aiolos' murderer, a fact that enraged the Dragon Saint. However, every blow proved ineffective against a warrior of Shura's caliber, as he even managed to strike during the weak point of Shiryū's Rozan Shōryū Ha after easily destroying the Dragon Cloth.

History.

Unfortunately for Capricorn, Shiryū sacrifices his life to take his enemy with him, leaping into outer space to be pulverized. After seeing in Shiryū a formidable warrior worthy of continuing to protect the Earth, he covers him with the Capricorn Cloth to help him return to the Sanctuary. From that moment on, Shura's Excalibur resides in Shiryū's right arm. Shura's spirit appears before Shiryū in front of the Pillar of the Indian Ocean to tell him that his soul resides in his right arm, and therefore, so does Excalibur. With this, and reaching the Seventh Sense, Dragon is able to shatter the Golden Lance of Krishna of Chrisaor and strike his vital points. Along with the other Gold Saints who perished in the battle of the Twelve Temples, he appears as a servant of Hades, with Athena's head as his objective. He penetrates the Sanctuary, killing Shaka and confronting Mu, Milo, and Aiolia, employing the Athena Exclamation without hesitation alongside Saga and Camus. After Saori's death, they go to see Pandora in Hades' Castle. She asks them to show her Athena's corpse, but it disappeared to enter the Underworld. Maintaining their pride as Gold Saints, they rebel against the girl, but their bodies disappear after the dawn light reaches them. Shura's soul reappears on the Wall of Lamentations to tear down the great wall along with the other eleven Gold Saints, opening the way for Shiryū and the others to Elysion.

Techniques/Attacks

•Excalibur: This is a technique that involves using the arms with such physical strength that it is capable of cutting practically anything as if it were a sword. •Jumping Stone: This is a technique of the Capricorn Saint that is based on using his legs to counter an attack, taking advantage of the force of his opponent's technique or simply delivering a powerful kick to the opponent. It is based on the legs of mountain goats and the leaps they make to ascend steep slopes. •Excalibur Caliburnus: The Capricorn Saint crosses his arms to concentrate his cosmos in them, and as this happens, several dark rays begin to release from his arms, and behind him auras of two sacred swords crossing are projected. Once he has concentrated enough power, he unleashes the powerful attack that releases from each of his arms a wave of energy that cuts everything in its path and, upon impacting its target, produces a large explosion. •Ex Caliburn: The Capricorn Saint of Capricorn creates an attack from his cosmos that he uses when his two arms are broken. This technique is very similar to Excalibur, but it also has the power to cut objects and divine beings. •Double Excalibur: This is a technique in which the Capricorn Saint is able to double the Excalibur attack, generating cuts from both his left and right arms. He launches a first piercing Excalibur strike, and then, instantly, executes a second cutting blow with his other arm. Unlike the normal Excalibur, he doesn't need to move his arm to perform this technique. ••Thousand Cutter: This is a technique in which Shura concentrates his cosmos to launch several bursts similar to those produced by Excalibur against his opponent. These are launched like a powerful, constant wind that impacts the opponent a total of 8 times.
