Persona Attributes
Appearance.
Suikyō is a warrior with light skin and blue eyes. He has dark blue hair that is messy and reaches just past the nape of his neck. He has an athletic build, but is not very muscular. When not wearing his Silver Cloth, he wears a white suit, while when he is wearing Garuda Surplice, he wears dark gray pants.
Personality.
Suikyō has proven to be a kind man who places great importance on friendship, his main attributes being skill, humility, and honesty, so it is surprising to see him turned into a Spectre of Hades. As a Spectre, he seems to defend his loyalty with pride, and firmly believes that Hades will purify the contaminated Earth. However, on some occasions he has shown that he may not yet betray his former companions, such as his insistence that Vermeer de Griffon leave first to Pandora's summons, when he was about to kill his friends and disciple, or the fact that he seems mortified to hurt his former comrades, as Shion observes when seeing him shed tears of blood, as well as the fact that Death Toll does not consider him a true traitor to Athena, these facts make it possible that perhaps he assumes a role against his will, and that he is acting against his will. Death Toll, regardless of being his enemy at the time, praises Suikyō's personality, calling him a man among men who persists in following the path of justice, but also calls him a great idiot, Death Toll himself, as well as Ikki from Phoenix (after having a fight against him) have compared the path that Suikyō is following as a path of thorns, all people seek their personal benefit but he does not, this makes him support him on his journey through the Sanctuary, but as Ikki reflects on him, for some reason still unknown it seems that he is torturing himself. Even though he is his enemy and does not serve his personal goals, Death Toll helps him maintain his position as a traitor to Athena, as well as ask Kaiser to let him continue on his way.
History.
Suikyō trained at the Sanctuary alongside Shion and Dohko, forming a close friendship with them and becoming inseparable. During his training as a Saint, Suikyō saved Dohko from a lioness that attacked him, thinking the young apprentice was trying to harm her cubs. After the lioness's death, the trio realized the reason for the animal's behavior. The three young apprentices regretted their actions when Kaiser, a Gold Saint, arrived and adopted the cubs. At some unknown point, Suikyō, who was a very talented young man, was quickly named a Silver Saint of the Crateris constellation, while his two friends were named Bronze Saints. While still young, Suishō, his younger brother, fell seriously ill with little chance of survival. Suikyō pleads with the goddess Athena to save his brother, but at that moment a Specter in the form of a Gargoyle appears which had come from the Underworld to take Suishō. Hearing this, Suikyō attacks him, but the Specter manages to dodge all of his attacks. The Specter mentions that he comes for a special reason to ask Suikyō to swear loyalty to Hades that will make him one of the Three Leaders of the Underworld, but he refuses as he prepares to attack the Specter, but the latter tells him to think about his brother who is about to die, the way his brother will find in his afterlife will depend on his decision, he will continue to suffer between the different Hells for all eternity. The conversation was not shown until the end as well as Suikyō's response. Shortly after, Suikyō observes his brother's grave with Shion and Dohko, before leaving on a mission entrusted by the Pope to Florence, to search for signs of Hades' rebirth.
History.
Before leaving, Suikyo wants to ask his friends something about his brother Suisho, they tell him not to worry, that they will take care of his grave, but Suikyō wants to tell them something else about his brother, but regrets it at the last moment, so he just says goodbye to his friends asking them to take care of Suishō's grave. During his mission in a snowstorm he finds a young Tenma, who had escaped from the cabin where he was with Alone after having stolen all his possessions, Suikyō catches him in the middle of the storm and takes him back to the cabin, once they arrived at the cabin where Alone was, Suikyō threatens to kill Tenma but Alone stops him. Suikyō sits in the middle of the hut and tells the two children to come closer, the fire had gone out so to survive they must warm each other, this was the warmth of the same people who allow themselves to live, and thus drives away ill will. The children with tears in their eyes ask him his name, to which he answers that his name is Suikyō of Crateris. Suikyō remained by the children's side for some time, in which he trained and instructed Tenma in the ways of the Saints of Athena, but he never explained to him what a Saint was. After that, he left, but left two boxes with Tenma (which contained the Cloth of Pegasus and the Cloth of Crateris), and the memory of his teachings to the young people. After Tenma entered Hades Castle in search of his friend Alone, who had become the chosen body of Hades.
History.
When Pandora and Alone leave the place with Tenma wounded on the ground, a group of Skeletons appear, when they prepare to kill him Shion and Dohko arrive to save him, just as they were preparing to leave the Castle, Vermeer of Griffon appears, which takes advantage of the great advantage of power he has over the young Saints of Athena to beat them. When he was about to kill the Saints of Athena, Vermeer is interrupted by the figure of a man who comes with the mission to inform him that Pandora requests his presence, he introduces himself as the Specter of Garuda, The Celestial Star of Bravery, whom Shion, Dohko and Tenma, recognize by his voice as Suikyō. After a short conversation with his student about his reasons for serving Hades' Army, he asks Vermeer to go to the meeting Pandora is planning, but he refuses because he plans to kill the Saints of Athena first, Suikyō offers to kill them but he distrusts his fidelity, to show his loyalty Suikyō prepares to kill Tenma but at that moment a Skeleton appears with the mission to inform them that it is urgent the presence of both for an audience with the Emperor of the Underworld, upon hearing this both Vermeer and Suikyō withdraw. After Saori's arrival in the past, Pandora requests the presence of Vermeer and Suikyō, once she explains everything to them, decides to send someone to invade the Sanctuary, for which Vemmer offers, but Pandora decides to send Suikyo; Vemeer gets angry and tells him that he can not send him because he was a Saint of Athena; To which Pandora replies that's precisely why she sent him, since she knows the Sanctuary better than anyone. When the Spectres begin their invasion of the Sanctuary, they reach the Temple of the White Ram and attempt to force their way in, but are easily repelled by its guardian, Shion of Aries.
History.
Among the Specters appears Suikyō to face his old training partner, who was now the Saint of Aries, and with a simple stone manages to destroy and pass through his Crystal Wall. The Judge orders the rest of the Specters to cross the Temple of the White Ram while he stayed to fight against the Saint of Aries, obeying his orders the Specters cross the Temple while Suikyō and Shion begin to fight with a simple exchange of blows. The Saint of Athena is overwhelmed by the ability of the Judge of Hell who throws him through the air with a blow, but when Shion was on the ground he realizes that Suikyō was crying tears of blood, and at that moment he decides to start fighting seriously. Both perform an exchange of powers, but Suikyō overcomes Shion who flies due to the explosion made by the clash of powers, and when the Specter was preparing to kill him, Ikki of Phoenix appears in the place. After the arrival of the Bronze Saint, he begins to fight against Suikyō, with an exchange of blows, managing to make the Judge's helmet come off his head, but instead Ikki's helmet is pulverized. After another exchange of blows, the Spectre demonstrates his superiority, and when he was preparing to eliminate the Phoenix Saint, Ikki gets up and attacks Suikyō with his Devilish Phoenix Illusion before falling unconscious. Due to the effect of the technique, Suikyō begins to remember his brother as he advances through the Aries Temple, leaving behind an unconscious Ikki and a badly injured Shion. When Ikki awakens, he tells Shion that the Phoenix Genma Ken did not completely affect the Judge, partly due to Suikyō's great resistance, but also because this attack destroyed his opponent's spirit, but despite this he tells her that the technique was enough to cause chaos in his mind.
History.
On his way to the Temple of Taurus he falls to the ground due to a severe headache, and at that moment he has a memory about his brother, who was gravely ill and the Specter of Gargoyle appeared to offer him a deal. At the end of this vision he arrives at the Temple of the Golden Bull, and after witnessing the defeat of his group of Specters at the hands of Ox of Taurus, the Gold Saint notices the presence of Suikyō among the corpses of the group of Specters he had destroyed. At that moment Suikyō warns him to stand up, since sitting is no match for him; upon hearing this Ox mocks him while warning him that if he takes three more steps the only thing he will achieve is to lose his life, Suikyo does not follow his warning and approaches to confront him, but with a movement of his powerful arm the Saint of Taurus throws him several meters away from the Temple, destroying part of the Surplice of the Judge and the whole place begins to rumble. The noise produced by the impact makes Shion realize that Suikyō is fighting with Ox, and he remembers the last time they saw Suikyō next to his brother's grave, before leaving on his last mission as a Saint of Athena. Suikyō stands up after the tremendous impact and heads again towards the entrance of the Temple of Taurus, where Ox is still sitting waiting for him and asks him why he betrayed Athena, but gets no answer, which is why she decides to punish him for betraying Athena and tries to attack the Judge again, but this time Suikyō stops him with one hand using a barrier formed from the humidity of the atmosphere, Ox stands up and uses his other arm to attack but it is no use as he is stopped again in the same way.
History.
Determined to finish off his opponent, the Taurus Saint prepares to use his Great Horn, but Suikyō reproaches him for not having used all his power from the beginning, and uses his final technique, White Lotus Ice Spears, which pierce through the Ox's Golden Armor apparently killing him. Suikyō is surprised by the Taurus Saint, since even after death, he was still standing protecting the Temple of the Golden Bull. When Shun and Tenma are about to be defeated by the Gemini Saint; being thrown into Another Dimension, Suikyō appears in the Temple of the Twins neutralizing the technique and saving the two Bronze Saints. Being inevitable the confrontation they begin to fight and the pressure produced by the impact of the blows affects Shun and Tenma who are amazed by the display of such incredible power, and Suikyō asks the Saints that if they do not want to die they should leave the Temple. When the Saints had withdrawn from the Temple, he continues his fight, and with a blow he manages to remove the helmet of the Saint of Gemini revealing his face; he introduces himself as Abel of Gemini, someone corrupt, who like him, seeks to kill Athena. Upon hearing this, the Judge tries to attack with his White Lotus Ice Spears, but Abel manages to neutralize this technique without any difficulty by sealing the humidity of the atmosphere, and when he is about to defeat Suikyō, Abel stops calling his brother Cain of Gemini. Suikyō turns around only to see that another Saint of Gemini is behind him, and when he looks back at the place where Abel was, he realizes that he had disappeared, bewildered by what happened, he tries to attack Cain, who easily defeats him by sending him to the ground with only his fists.
History.
After getting up, the Spectre notices Cain's powerful cosmos, which is endowed with perfect justice, the Gemini Saint tries to reason with him by asking him to tell him his true objective, but after hesitating for a few moments, Suikyō replies that his only objective is Athena's head. Upon hearing this, the Gold Saint decides to eliminate his opponent, but at that moment his head begins to hurt and disappears, to the surprise of the Judge of Hell, who hears Abel's voice behind him and realizes that Cain has disappeared. The Spectre realizes that both brothers represent good and evil, and although he is still confused about which of the two will be the real one, Abel decides to end this fight with Gemini's greatest technique, the Imperial Satan. Cain appears behind Abel to ask him what he did to Suikyō, and he explains that he has used the Imperial Satan on him, while mockingly thinking who the victim will be. Suikyō seems surprised to find himself on the way to the Giant Crab Temple and having escaped from the Twin Temple, with no memory of what had happened or how he got there but decides to continue on his way. At the Giant Crab Temple, after Death Toll of Cancer locked Tenma and Shun in the Omerta, Suikyō appears at the Temple while the Cancer Saint was preparing to take the Bronze Saints to the Yomotsu. Death Toll knows the identity of the previous Saint of Athena, and despite warning him not to pass, decides to let him go on his way thinking about his personal interests, but upon hearing this the Judge insults him calling him trash for betraying Athena, and trying to play both sides.
History.
The enraged Gold Saint throws Omerta to the ground and decides to send him and the Bronze Saints to the World of the Dead, with his Infernal Waves, but being a Specter Suikyō is not affected by the Cancer Saint's technique. Death Toll realizes that Suikyō is under the effects of the Imperial Satan, and this begins to hit him but does not cause any damage to the Gold Saint, and who comes up with the idea of using Shun and Tenma as a sacrifice to free him from the technique. Upon arriving at the Yomotsu he finds Omerta, but realizes that Suikyō had followed him, which is why Death Toll frees the Bronze Saints from Omerta, and offers them to the Judge of Hell as a sacrifice. Shun and Tenma confront him but are unable to do anything against him, the Pegasus Saint who still believed in his master confronts him, however he hits him to the point of almost killing him, but at the moment of doing so, Suikyō hits him in his true center point stopping the Saint's bleeding. The Specter regains consciousness, arguing that the Genrōmaōken had not had any effect on him, to the surprise of Death Toll himself who was watching; this makes the Cancer Saint decide to end the fight and with only his fists he faces and defeats the three opponents at the same time. When Death Toll prepares to throw Shun and Tenma into the Yomotsu hole, Suikyō appears attacking him with his Hisō Byaku Renge, but his attack is stopped with one hand by the Gold Saint, who tells him that seeing that his technique once, it is ineffective. Death Toll throws him to the ground with a wave of his hand at the Judge, and while he's on the ground, he begins to tell him what his plans are for him. But knowing that Suikyo is no traitor, he says that his plans couldn't work, so he decides to get rid of him by throwing him into the hole that leads to the Underworld.
History.
Just then a wounded Tenma asks Death Toll if he was a man or a woman, saying he can't believe he's so ugly, the Gold Saint turns around and answers that he's a man only to realize that Tenma had tricked him by opening the Omerta which traps the Cancer Saint. After his student Tenma had saved him from the hands of Death Toll, Suikyō returns to the Sanctuary and finds himself staggering towards the Lion Temple where the Gold Saint of Leo was waiting for him. After Shun's arrival at the Lion Temple, Kaiser of Leo to give him a warning asks Goldie to bring his last prey: which was none other than Suikyō's unconscious body, meaning that the Judge of the Underworld was defeated by the Gold Saint, or by his gigantic pet. Kaiser knows that Suikyō is not a traitor, as his pet Goldie has not recognized him as such, and it is for that reason that the Saint of Leo did not kill the one who was once a Silver Saint who protected Athena. While Kaiser and Goldie fought against the group of Specters that had led Death Toll from Yomotsu Hill to Leo's Temple, Suikyō regains consciousness and passes through the Temple unnoticed by its guardians, heading towards the next Temple.
History.
When Suikyō arrives at the Temple of the Virgin and enters it, he wonders what was happening, since he could not feel any presence and the place was too silent. Suddenly he realizes that it was not a simple silence, but a place of absolute silence, which was capable of destroying the spirit of those who entered there. At that moment, a horrible buzzing began to attack the Spectre's ears in an attempt to drive him crazy, and while he thought that despite Shijima of Virgo's absence, he was managing to defend his Temple, an afterimage of the Saint of Virgo appeared in front of him to give him a warning. The image of the Gold Saint tells Suikyō that he is being blocked by his barrier and that it would be best for him to leave the place, since if he decided to continue he would be destroyed, however the Judge had already realized that both Shijima's image and his barrier were part of an illusion or mirage. The Judge, who would not be stopped by mere illusion, decides to force his way through, but falls into the trap of the Temple of the Virgin, Four Gates of Buddha. The Gold Saint realizes that the invader of his Temple was Suikyō of Crateris, the Silver Saint who had betrayed them to join Hades' army, and tells him that if he so wanted to take Athena's life, he should choose one of the gates and if the Buddhist deities guided him, he might be able to cross his Temple, but that what awaited him behind each gate was represented by the emblem each had. Suikyō tells him that it was more troublesome than his Barrier to retain intruders, and that no matter which one he chose he would still be destroyed; but that if he did nothing he would eventually die in that silent place, and that the only option left for him was to advance.
History.
After thinking and reflecting on which of the doors he should choose, he comes to the conclusion that only one was the right one for him, who was a warrior, and opens the Door of Death. Upon doing this, Suikyō falls unconscious, wandering in infinite darkness, while thinking that he is dead and is falling into the Underworld, however, before this could happen, Athena's Cosmo teleports him to the Garden of the Twin Halls located next to the Temple of the Virgin, saving him from certain death. While Suikyō wondered what that light had been, he managed to open his eyes, noticing that he was in the Garden, and that among the Twin Halls was the Cloth of Crateris. Not understanding why the armor he had once entrusted to his student Tenma was there, he realizes that a nectar in the form of rain fell from the trees filling the Cup, forming the Water of Life, to finally understand that the great light and the presence of his old Cloth of Crateris in the Garden, were nothing more than a work of the cosmos of Athena, who had saved him. Despite having been saved by Athena, the Judge could not see his reflection in the surface of the water and remembers that no future is reflected for those who are going to die soon, understanding that his destiny was to die, but that he would not do so until he met the Goddess. At the moment that Suikyō was about to drink from the Water of Life, a petal fell into it, and it was then when he remembered that the petals of the Twin Halls can cross the dimensions and reach wherever Athena is. After this the ex-Silver Saint writes something on the petals and says that if his life comes to an end on the road, he should at least deliver his message, and throws the petals into the air so that the wind can take them to where Shijima was, and the Goddess could receive his message but only two petals arrive, these say "San" (3) and "Juu" (10).
History.
Shortly after, Suikyō arrives at the Temple of Heavenly Balance, where he meets his old friend Dohko. The two Saints quickly engage in combat. Eager to end the fight quickly, the Spectre strikes his old friend with his "Hisō Byaku Renge" technique, but misses. After a brief argument by Dohko and remembering something from his past in which Suikyo killed a lioness who had just given birth to cubs, Suikyo decides to show off his new technique: Rotating Storm of the Hundred Ice Fangs, but Dohko counters with his Hundred Dragons of Rozan, so that both receive almost directly the attack of the other, leaving them unconscious at the end. The clash of powers pierces the roof of the Temple of Heavenly Balance, which catches the attention of Shun and Tenma who are leaving the Temple of the Virgin. When Shun and Tenma finally arrive at the entrance of the Temple of Heavenly Balance, Suikyo is already dead in Dohko's arms. Noticing their presence, Dohko asks the newcomers to place the Cloth of Crateris on Suikyo. Suikyo is seen among a line of dead people going to the world of the dead, in the fight between Vermeer, Death Toll, and Ikki of Phoenix.
Techniques/Attacks
•Hisō Byaku Renge: This technique begins as a defensive technique, as water molecules condense into the moisture in the atmosphere and form a force field-like barrier, similar to a reflecting pool in front of Suikyō's hands. The next step in the technique is to solidify the water molecules, which take the form of ice spears. The opponent is then impaled on the multiple spears Suikyō has created. This technique can be used for both defense and offense. •Hisō Byaku Gasenran: Suikyō concentrates his cosmos projecting a whirlwind composed of several ice spears onto his opponent. •Kholodnyi Smerch: It is an exclusive technique of the Saints who manipulate the cosmos with cold air, as they concentrate their cosmos and launch a whirlwind of cold air that freezes their enemies. •Koltso: This is a paralysis technique that uses rings of cold air to surround the opponent and inhibit their mobility. The user fires a small puff of ice crystals at their opponent with their index finger. Upon reaching the opponent, these crystals form a ring around the victim's body that quickly unfolds into several ice rings. The number of rings increases with time, and they close ever more tightly around their prey, momentarily paralyzing them. •Brilliant Lavina: This technique involves accumulating ice fragments to form a gigantic freezing wave whose temperature approaches absolute zero. When launched in the form of an avalanche, it instantly shuts down all vital functions of its victims.
