San Lin is a character created by Legendary Pictures who made his first appearance in the 2017 MonsterVerse film, Kong: Skull Island.

San Lin has long, straight black hair, brown eyes, and a slim, slightly curvy figure, with medium-sized breasts. Her outfit consists of a long-sleeved white shirt with blue and red stripes, dark blue jeans held up with a brown belt, and black sneakers. She also wears a pink headband to hold her hair back.

San, a brilliant Monarch biologist, believes in Randa's mission and the importance of keeping the true dangers of Skull Island a secret. But the mysteries of its extraordinary ecosystem will push her skills and humanity to the limit.

Given her personality, she's likely brilliant at ecological biology, as she's a biologist. She probably loves nature. Her best research is probably on ecosystems. She joined the expedition because she probably wanted to discover life forms she'd never seen before and probably wanted to study them as if they were newly discovered species.

•Kong: Skull Island. Lin is a member of the joint Monarch-Landsat expedition to Skull Island. He accompanies his colleague and friend Houston Brooks for much of the time as they explore the island and encounter some of its inhabitants, most notably Kong.

Lin and Brooks then decide to recruit James Conrad and Mason Weaver into Monarch before informing them that Kong isn't the only giant monster in the world.

•Houston Brooks: An American Monarch researcher and colleague of San Lin. Over time, the two fell in love, married, and had a son named Aaron. •James Conrad: A former British SAS officer and a good companion during the Skull Island expedition. •Mason Weaver: An American investigative photojournalist and companion during the Skull Island expedition. •Reg Slivko: Pilot and Officer of the American Sky Devils helicopter company during the Vietnam War, he is also a companion during the expedition to Skull Island. •Victor Nieves: Senior US Landsat official and companion during the Skull Island expedition. •Hank Marlow: An American veteran pilot and lieutenant who lived on Skull Island from 1945 until his encounter with the members of the Skull Island expedition. •Kong: A great giant ape over thirty meters tall who destroyed most of the helicopters and killed multiple members of the expedition on Skull Island for having bothered him with bombs, Kong is the owner of Skull Island and was also the one who helped the remaining members of the expedition escape from Skull Island safely.

Being an ordinary human, she has no special abilities. Although she is a simple Biologist, San Lin seems to have some knowledge about firearms, which is why she has no problem correctly using a Vietnam War M16 rifle.
