Jurassic World RPG

Jurassic World is a successful park, but after reaching 11 million visitors, it begins to lose audience. So the park's scientists decide to create a new attraction, hoping to attract a larger crowd. But things go wrong, and with the "new attraction" on the loose, visitors will have to run for their lives.

Nublar Island (or Isla Nublar in Spanish) is the island where Jurassic Park is located. It is known as "Site A" or "Point A," and is 120 miles (200 km) from Costa Rica. At the beginning of the film, the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands is shown.

Little is known about Owen's life before becoming a member of the United States Navy and his subsequent employment at Jurassic World. His past was never mentioned, and even his later girlfriend, Claire Dearing, didn't know where he came from. Little is known about Owen's life before becoming a professional animal behaviorist. But several sources say that Owen Grady was born to very loving parents in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 1979. His father, Nathan Grady, was a retired Navy officer, and his mother, Sophie, was a homemaker and teacher. Owen spent most of his time doing three things growing up: playing outside until the streetlights came on, reading comic books, and exploring the woods. Herculoids, Denver the Last Dinosaur, Dinosaucers, and The Flintstones were his favorites. He loves playing pool and soccer. At some point before, during, or after joining the United States Navy, Owen met Barry, who was also an animal behavior specialist.

Claire Dearing was born (possibly) in 1985 and is the younger sister of Karen. The two sisters grew up in a small house on the outskirts of an unnamed town in a more rural area. Their house was small and sat on two flat acres on the edge of a white beech forest. Their father kept bees and repaired trucks in a detached garage. When the girls were born, their father planted apple trees and continued to prune them as they grew up. According to Claire, she had a happy and normal childhood and described her upbringing as "somewhat country." Claire was passionate about animals and wildlife from a young age; her mother would later comment that she always suspected Claire would become a veterinarian due to this passion. At the age of 12, Claire discovered Roo, a mixed-breed Pyrenees dog, kept in a warehouse as a guard dog on a five-foot chain. The warehouse owners gave the dog minimal, insufficient food, but enough to prevent Animal Control from taking the animal. Claire would often visit the dog and talk to him to keep him company, as he was too far away to pet. She would visit Roo during the cold winters and hot summers, and Roo would have to be outside and endure the harsh elements.

Barry participated in the operation to stop the Indominus Rex that escaped its paddock and terrorized the island. During the incident, he noticed that the Raptors he and Owen trained were communicating strangely with the I-Rex. Owen soon realized that the I-Rex was also created with Velociraptor DNA, giving it the ability to communicate and become the new alpha of the pack. As soon as the Raptors turned against the humans, Barry quickly ran to hide inside a nearby log and was attacked by Blue and almost killed by her until he called her name, to which she reacted, and when Owen whistled to her and she turned to chase him, saving Barry's life. Later, he would evacuate to a hangar in Costa Rica with the rest of the evacuated tourists.

Zach and his brother, Gray, were allowed by their mother to take a trip to the dinosaur park, Jurassic World, where their aunt, Claire Dearing, was the operations manager. They were supervised by Claire's personal assistant, Zara, as Claire was too busy to spend time with her nephews. Their known activities during the visit include being spectators at the Mosasaurus Feeding Show and taking a gyrosphere ride. However, the park's newest attraction, a genetic hybrid called the Indominus rex, escaped during the trip. It attacked Zach and his brother while they were still in their gyrosphere, but did not kill them. At some point after this attack, he and his brother entered the restricted area of Isla Nublar, where they found the ruins of the Visitor Center. At one point amidst the chaos, Zach and Gray reached Main Street only to be attacked by a mixed flock of Dimorphodon and Pteranodon that had been released from their enclosure to attack humans in the area. During this attack, they witnessed a Pteranodon grab Zara and fly off with her, leading Zara to fall into the Mosasaurus's containment tank and both she and the Pteranodon being consumed by the aforementioned reptile. When the Indominus rex arrived, Owen Grady protected them from the hybrid.

Gray Mitchell is Zach's younger brother, as well as the son of Karen and Scott and the nephew of Claire Dearing. He is a precocious boy who has a great interest in dinosaurs. Gray was looking at some dinosaur images on his tablet when his mother encouraged him to get in the car to prepare for a visit to Jurassic World. Karen and Scott Mitchell dropped them off at an airport, from where they departed for Jurassic World. After boarding a plane, Gray and Zach boarded a ferry to Masrani Global Corporation's famous dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, where their aunt, Claire Dearing, was senior asset manager. They were supervised by Claire's personal assistant, Zara Young, as Claire was too busy to spend time with her nephews.

Henry Wu is a Korean-American from Ohio who holds a doctorate in genetics. He is a senior member of InGen's project to recreate dinosaurs. Dr. Wu and paleo-geneticist Dr. Laura Sorkin were the leading minds on the project. When the team discovered large quantities of dinosaur DNA, Dr. Wu proposed that they could begin cloning dinosaurs by filling in the gaps in the dinosaur genome (DNA) with the DNA of existing species. Laura Sorkin opposed this idea and wanted to postpone cloning until they recovered 100% of a species' genome. The board of investors preferred Wu's approach because it was faster, easier, and cheaper. Thus, the board promoted Dr. Wu to chief geneticist. Wu decided to use the DNA of various amphibian species, including the cane toad (Hyperolius viridiflavus), to supplement the dinosaur DNA. The first prehistoric animal was cloned in 1984. Wu also implemented several safety measures. The dinosaur chromosomes were engineered so that all animals would be female, preventing reproduction. He also made the dinosaurs incapable of producing lysine, so they would die without dietary supplements.
