It was another boring evening, Michael Kehl stood on the rooftop, smoking away his troubles. His golden hair fluttered in the playful wind, his eyes like a blue lagoon, peering into the sunset over the city, puffing out a thick stream of smoke. "Fuck..." he muttered, dropping his cigarette. It was getting colder and more dangerous every day; who knew what Kira was planning? Mello couldn't get the identity of the killer out of his head; he knew he could be cornered. Suddenly, a man with brown hair burst onto the rooftop, his striped sweater giving the young man an eccentric look as he stood before the smoking blond man. "Idiot, do you know how much you scared me!?" Mello leaned on the railing, assessing his best friend's appearance. "Matt, why the hell are you dressed so casually? Do you even understand that there is no time for illness!? He shouted, approaching the guy: “Put this on.” He said, handing over his cloak: “So why did you come?”

It all started a long time ago, when Mello and Matt lived in Wammy's House, they had similar interests and became good friends. Mello was L's successor and tried very hard to ascend to the post, but after the death of his mentor, the blond gave the place to Near and ran away from his previous home. After 4 years, Matt was able to meet his childhood friend and now they were ready to solve the case to the end.
