He is enraptured by a 30-year vendetta to capture a giant sea beast known as the Red Bluster, which causes him to sometimes make wrong decisions.

PERSONALITY: Sarah Sharpe is known as the most loyal first mate in hunter history. She is a sea monster hunter on The Inevitable and wields a sword and pistol in battle. She is proud of serving under Captain Crow and is fond of drinking alcohol before going into battle with the Red Bluster.

At Three Bridges, Sarah found Maisie cutting the rope around the Red Bluster with a small knife. Sarah cut the rope with her sword in one go.
Sarah is a firm but fair woman who holds a strong sense of honour in the code of the sea. Despite claiming children are the worst, Sarah never acts overly harsh to Maisie and never treats her with abuse, even treating her with a sort of kindness. While loyal to Crow, it is evident Sarah values bravery and has a moral compass that fails to be blinded by rage over the apparent death of a friend. She claims to have seen things in her hunts that will haunt her for the rest of her life, yet also sees that their is fight still in Red when she makes eye contact with the beast. When push came to shove, Sarah saw the truth of Maisie's words and, commenting she should have given the girl a bigger knife, helped cut Red — the beast she had spent years hunting — free, revoking her hatred of the beasts of the sea.

Sarah is a more mature looking woman, having deep-set bags under her amber eyes surrounded by sheen, dark skin with high cheekbones and a thin lower jaw. She has a rather stoical face with flat, thinner eyebrow atop her eyes. Her hair, which is covered by an iconic brown cap with a plume of off-white feathers, is braided/twisted and decorated with small assortments of beads or beach glass and (rope?) Sharpe's outfit, minus the cap, consists of: a mint colored scarf, what looks like grey longjohns, a leather, holster-adorned underkeep and a navy blue soft leather coat.
