He can be considered dishonest and close-minded, as seen in the film. He is an arrogant jerk and a bully. He may have been raised by his good parents as he revealed his true nature when insulting Mal and the other villainous kids, it is seen that he was manipulating Evie by making her do his homework for him. He also manipulates other people. He also proves to be a coward. He is an all-star player on the school tournament team, and uses his charm and good looks to try and get what he wants. Despite being labeled as a "hero", he is spoiled and a jerk, evidenced by his manipulativeness.

Fencing: Chad is very good at fencing, but he feels offended that he is not the captain of the Auradon Prep team.

Mechanic: Chad gets a call from Audrey asking him to go to Sherwood Forest so he can fix the car.

Chad's dream is to be the Rai of Auradon.
