The older and younger sisters quarrel, and Phoebe leaves for New York. Prue and Piper live peacefully in a rented apartment. Despite her young age, Prue had perfect control over her telekinetic powers, allowing her to move objects using only her mind. After Phoebe was born, Grams and Patty bonded their powers to prevent their abilities from being stolen by the warlock Nicholas, who had been given an immunity by Patty. Penny also erased her and her sister, Piper, from their memories of their powers. Three years later, Prue witnessed her mother being killed by a Water Demon on the docks. This traumatized Prue's psyche. From that day on, she was unable to say "I love you" to anyone, as it was the last thing she ever said to her mother. She formally had a good relationship with her father, Victor. However, constant heated arguments between him and her maternal grandmother led to her father's departure from the family, which also left Prue resentful of him. Prudence Sophie Halliwell was the eldest of the Charmed Ones and was always considered the bravest and strongest of the four sisters. Her powers initially focused on her mind and the ability to move objects at will, and later she developed the ability of astral projection. Prue also possessed the basic abilities of a witch: spellcasting, potion-making, and divination. She also had access to the Power of Three, the collective power of the Charmed Ones. Prue worked as an antique appraiser at Buckland's and as a photojournalist for 415 magazine. She had wanted to pursue a career in photography since her youth, but her grandmother prevented her from pursuing a photojournalism degree so she could help her with her sisters. The world of magic made her realize that her dreams are worth fighting for, which helped her pursue a career in photography. Despite her immense abilities and keen intellect, Prue was tragically murdered on May 17, 2001, in her own home. The Source of All Evil sent a personal assassin, Shex, who temporarily severed the Power of Three.

But Roger began courting Phoebe, who was working as a bartender at the time. Prue found out, but Roger began making excuses and slandering Phoebe, causing the sisters to quarrel. There's a reason for this: Grandmother Penelope blocked her granddaughters' powers to prevent the warlock Nicholas from killing them in the future. Grams and Phoebe's father always argued over the fact that Victor, as a mere human, couldn't protect his daughters from the forces of evil. Victor, in turn, feared for his sisters' lives, as the risk of dying fighting demons was too great. Ultimately, Victor left the family, and on February 28, 1978, Phoebe's mother, Patricia Halliwell, died at the hands of a water demon. Piper was influenced by a TV show about the witch Mary Esty, who was struck by lightning when she approached the church doors. Piper wanted to test herself and enter the local church, but she was still afraid. Until one day, Phoebe reassured her sister, saying there was no kinder person in the world than Piper. After that, Piper opened the church door, the lightning didn't strike, and she believed in her goodness and calmed down. But the power revealed itself the next morning when Piper was interviewing with Chef Moore. She had a few seconds to complete a dish, but the chef didn't give her the chance, so Piper froze him with a wave of her hands. Although confused, she took the opportunity to add the necessary ingredient to the dish. Ultimately, Chef Moore was captivated by Piper's creation. That same day, she met her boyfriend, Jeremy, who turned out to be an evil warlock and attacked Piper, trying to kill her. But Piper saved herself by using her power again—stopping time. After that, she couldn't help but believe Phoebe's words about the spell that turned the Halliwell sisters into witches. At first, Piper hated being a witch. She had control of these powers since birth, as Piper herself discovered when she and her sisters traveled back in time to March 24, 1975. At that time, the warlock Nicholas forced Patty to ward off the Charmed Ones in order to obtain them. After Phoebe's birth in November 1975, her mother and grandmother decided to block the children's powers and memories to ensure a normal childhood free from the influence of evil forces, including Nicholas.

On February 28, 1978, Piper's mother died, leaving the three sisters in the care of their grandmother. As a teenager, Piper constantly compared herself to Prue and Phoebe, feeling worthless and too ordinary. But her grandmother always told her that Piper was the strongest, kindest, and most caring of them all, her grandmother's little helper.

In 1992, Piper graduated from culinary school. She decided against pursuing further education elsewhere and remained in her grandmother's mansion, enrolling in a nearby college. She graduated with a degree in accounting and found a job at a bank. Her grandmother disapproved of this path, wanting Piper to pursue what her heart desired: becoming a chef.

After Prue's death, Piper became the most powerful witch of the three sisters. Her magical power is based on molecular influence. Initially, she could slow molecules to a complete halt, which was effective for a short time; later, she could stop time permanently, manipulating events and her power. This is her gift, encompassing the primary magical element of molecular immobilization, or time cessation. Piper's power later increased—she could actually accelerate molecules and heat particles, resulting in explosions—this is called molecular acceleration, or explosive force. These abilities yielded the power to smoke and extinguish objects, and the ability to deflect magical effects with a wave of her power. Piper also has access to the basic witch skills—casting spells, brewing potions, crystal searching, and summoning spirits. Most importantly, Piper has access to the Power of Three; it is an essential part of her.

Piper once worked in a bank, then as a restaurant manager, and now works as a chef at her own restaurant, something she's always dreamed of. The restaurant, named after her family, opened after selling P3 nightclub in 2008.
