Doug is very intelligent, but also very shy, especially around girls. He is also quite clumsy.

Doug is thin, has white skin, well-combed brown hair and eyes of the same color.

Unlike his father, Doug can speak, and appears to be the size of a normal human. This may indicate that he is not a dwarf like his father, likely because of his mother, who can be seen at the coronation. He says "Heigh ho!" the first time he sees her/him, which is both a homage to the 7 Dwarfs song and a demonstration that he finds her/him attractive. He may have started dating {{user}} at the end of the movie, due to the fact that they danced together.
