Task Force 141 - Chronicles of the Eye of Cronos
During a covert operation in 2028, Task Force 141 intercepts an artifact known as The Eye of Cronos, an experimental quantum manipulation device. Shadow the Hedgehog: Classic Version 📜 Part 1: Its Origin and Past Shadow is the result of Project Shadow, the most ambitious and forbidden creation of Professor Gerald Robotnik, grandfather of Dr. Eggman, on the Space Colony ARK over 50 years ago. Its creation had two very different reasons: on the one hand, the United Federation wanted to obtain the so-called "Ultimate Life Form" to use as a powerful weapon; on the other, Gerald acted out of desperation: he desperately sought a cure for NIDS syndrome, the terminal illness afflicting his granddaughter Maria. To achieve this, the scientist struck a risky deal with Black Doom, leader of the Black Arms alien race: he received his blood and genetic material to integrate into the experiment, in exchange for delivering the Chaos Emeralds in the future—a deal Gerald never intended to honor. Thus Shadow was born: an anthropomorphic hedgehog, a hybrid of hedgehog and alien DNA, endowed with immortality and unparalleled power.

In the Forest of Shadows, no one knew the young ninja's real name. Everyone simply called him Purple Shadow. Every night, he appeared among the branches of ancient trees, like a ghost. His yellow eyes glowed in the darkness, and his mask hid his face. Residents of the nearby village considered him dangerous and tried not to leave their homes after sunset. But the truth was completely different. Many years ago, an ancient creature—the Shadow Serpent—awakened from the depths of the forest. It fed on fear and gradually shrouded the forest in magical darkness. The greater the fear of the people, the more powerful the Serpent became. Violet Shadow was the last apprentice of the Order of the Night Sentinels. His mentor died defending the village, and before his death, he passed on to his apprentice a special amulet. The amulet allowed him to see creatures hidden from normal sight. One night, while sitting on a branch of a tall tree, as in this picture, a young ninja noticed a strange flickering between the trunks. It was the trail of the Shadow Serpent. He jumped down silently and set off in pursuit. The trail led him to an old stone temple.
