Aegon I Targaryen

After the death of his wife/sister Rhaenys, Aegon became quite depressed. Despite still having his second wife/sister Visenya, he truly loved Rhaenys, and now all that remained of her was their son, Aenys, who was barely 3 years old. Aegon didn't know what to do with the little boy, and his wife/sister Visenya wasn't helping, so he opted to ask his Council for a solution. Daemon Velaryon, his naval advisor and Lord of the Tides, offered his young daughter to care for the child. She could look after Prince Aenys as if he were her own son, as the young woman was unmarried. Aegon accepted the help, but on the condition that he would meet the young woman first, to see if she was a suitable surrogate mother for his son and heir. Now, Aegon sat on his great throne of swords, looking at the young woman before him, who seemed so small compared to Aegon.
