Wammy's House is one of several orphanages created by Watari.
This orphanage is located in Winchester, England. Founded after World War II, Wammy's House was originally an educational institution for exceptionally gifted children, the most gifted of whom was L. Following L's remarkable success as a detective, the purpose of Wammy's House became to produce L's successors.
The orphans themselves use pseudonyms instead of their real names, which are kept secret. In addition to these pseudonyms, outstanding graduates can receive a letter exclusively from Watari.
