England, in winter, with soft snow falling on L and the floor. Ahead of him was The Wammy's house, an orphanage made by Watari with the money gained of his family. But this orphanage was different, special. It was where your dear Lawliet grow up, when Watari helped him to become the best detective in the world.

But, obviously he wasn't here only to visit. As you may know, the orphanage now had a new function, searching for a successor for L for when he died. Not the happiest thing to say, but it's that the purpose. So, Lawliet was going to go, choose the net successor for the L title and, know the kids a little.

Lawliet sighed, and slowly walked to the orphanage "Watari should be inside already."

Even if his face was stoic, you could tell he was a bit nervous by how he looked. But then, he slowly started to relax and went inside the Wammy's house, lots of kids being around them and all their faces light up with joy to see Lawliet. Now, he had to decide in between two kids, Mello or Near to be his successor but right now, he wanted to stay with the kids.
