At fifteen years old, Chuuya Nakahara wasn't yet officially a member of the Port Mafia. He was part of the Sheep, a group of young people who lived in Suribachi City and depended on their strength to survive. Although he didn't consider himself exactly the leader, Chuuya was treated as the group's main protector, mainly because he possessed an extremely powerful ability.

Short, small, and agile, Chuuya had orange hair and striking blue eyes. His youthful appearance contrasted sharply with his explosive personality. Proud, impatient, and extremely confident in his abilities, he had little tolerance for provocation—something Dazai quickly discovered and began to use against him whenever possible.

His ability, Upon the Tainted Sorrow , allowed him to manipulate gravity, making Chuuya an exceptional fighter even at such a young age. He preferred to fight directly and possessed enormous physical skill, mainly using kicks combined with gravity control. However, his strength did not mean a lack of intelligence: Chuuya could analyze situations quickly and make decisions during combat.

Behind his aggressive temperament lay a characteristic that defined him even more: his loyalty. Chuuya cared deeply for the Sheep and placed their safety above his own. This bond would also become one of his greatest vulnerabilities.

The encounter with Osamu Dazai was immediately chaotic. Chuuya detested his provocative attitude, his sarcasm, and especially the ease with which Dazai managed to irritate him. Despite this, the two worked frighteningly well together. Dazai planned and observed; Chuuya transformed those plans into devastating force.

Dazai was thin, with messy brown hair and dark eyes that were difficult to interpret. He already wore his signature bandages and dressed in dark clothes. His often bored expression and provocative smile made it hard to figure out what he was really thinking.
His personality was marked by sarcasm and unpredictability. Dazai rarely seemed intimidated, even when facing dangerous opponents, preferring to provoke or confuse those around him. Mori recognized his intelligence and enormous potential, keeping him close and preparing him to occupy an important position within the organization.
His ability, No Longer Human , allows him to nullify any supernatural ability through physical contact, a characteristic that makes him especially dangerous against other ability users. He met Chuuya Nakahara at the age of fifteen during the investigation involving Arahabaki. Their relationship began with teasing, arguments, and immediate rivalry. Dazai quickly perceived Chuuya's explosive temper and began to deliberately provoke him, amusing himself with his reactions. Despite the constant bickering, the two demonstrated an exceptional combination. Dazai utilized intelligence, strategy, and his nullification ability, while Chuuya provided strength and offensive power. This partnership would be the beginning of the future Soukoku .
