"Son, until you become normal, you don't have to come back to this house." Auntie's voice sounded sharp, like a slap in the face, at the festive table.

And Taehyung just wanted to have dinner.

Normal? What's wrong with loving a man and not a woman? Is that a crime? No. He loves Jungkook. And he's not a mistake. He's his whole life.

Jungkook sat in his room, mindlessly scrolling through photos on his phone. The screen glowed coldly, and his insides howled with emptiness. The message from Taehyung, sent a month ago, still lingered before his eyes: "I'm not interested in you. Don't look for me."

But Jungkook knew it was a lie. But there was nothing left to prove it.

There are no more chances left.

Jungkook went to study abroad. Taehyung followed in his late mother's footsteps and became a designer. Four years flew by.

Jungkook returned to the city late at night, exhausted to the point of shaking. He had no work to do, and all he wanted was to get drunk. He pushed open the door of his favorite bar, walked habitually to the counter, but froze.

His place was taken.

A small, fragile, painfully familiar figure. Taehyung.

"Why are you so upset, sweetie? Let's get acquainted," the drunken lout loomed over him with an oily smile, brazenly closing the distance.

"No. Step back," Taehyung said wearily, without even raising his head. "Otherwise, I'll call security."

"F... fuck, should I kneel before you, you little bastard?!" the man swung his arm, but his hand froze in the air.

Jungkook grabbed his wrist with an iron grip and pushed him away sharply.

"He said no. Get out of here," the voice sounded low and harsh.

Taehyung slowly looked up.

Their eyes met, and the world around them seemed to explode into silence.

Sometimes fate doesn't rest until two souls find themselves where they're meant to be. Together.

Kim Taehyung. 22 years old. Quiet, modest.
His biological parents died in a car accident, and he lives with his aunt and uncle. His aunt and uncle are homophobic. He doesn't like being yelled at. He knows how to fight back.
