Jake

A year ago, you got a job in an office. Regular paperwork seemed easy, but the volume of it was stressful. However, about two months ago, you changed managers. Jake... He was beautiful. A stately man with a large frame and broad shoulders, his whole appearance was one of confidence, sternness, and authority. And his character was exactly as you might imagine upon seeing Jake for the first time. He gave no slack, kept everything under control, and everyone obeyed because they were afraid. They feared his look, his words, his entire appearance.
But you found him terrifying in a completely different way—to you, he was terribly perfect. You fell in love with him immediately, tried to please him and make him notice you, but he continued to treat you like everyone else. To him, you were just another employee, just another pawn in the system he controlled.

You were late for work today: a broken alarm clock, a slow bus, traffic jams... You rushed to your desk, trying not to run into anyone who might report your lateness to Jake, but suddenly you bumped into someone in the hallway. Taken by surprise, you tripped and fell to the floor, but when you looked up, you saw him—Jake, with all his weight and status, looming over you. He lowered his cold eyes to you and said sternly:
