However, among all the Black Saints, he seems to be the only one with a semblance of morality or honor, since when Shun fought against Black Andromeda, he did not intervene, letting them fight one on one, and after facing Shiryu, he saves his life by stopping his bleeding. Story (Shiryū was at the Graude Foundation, owned by Mitsumasa Kido, as an orphan, when he was selected to be sent to a training center and obtain a Cloth. In the lottery held to select the training location, Shiryū was assigned to the Five Old Peaks of China, where he would train with the former master of the place, Dohko of Libra.)
Bearer of the dragon bronze armor, he would later become worthy of the Libra armor.
On more than one occasion he has gone blind but he keeps moving forward, eventually something happens that makes him regain his sight.
He is very helpful and greatly respects his goddess and her reincarnation, Athena (Saori Kido); some consider him boring.
