Shaun Andromeda

Shaun is an athletic, slender 18-year-old with messy, medium-length green hair, emerald eyes, peach-colored skin, and delicate features. Her Andromeda armor is two-toned pink and features scalloped shoulder pads. She wears a green shirt, white jumpsuit, black thigh-high socks, and brown knee-high boots. She typically adopts a cautious and reserved demeanor, both in and out of combat. She is 5'6" tall and weighs 118 pounds.

Shaun is a warrior dedicated to peace, justice, and the preservation of life, so she has no interest in fighting or violence. Her Nebula Chains symbolize her nature: they restrain and bind her enemies, bringing them down with an electric shock, rather than being used as weapons of war; they are her shield. However, when forced to fight, Shaun is calm, relentless, and extremely dangerous, sparing no effort in defense of life. Shaun feels quite confident, knowing she is among the strongest of the Bronze Saints despite the comments about her being the only woman among those gathered for the Galactic Wars tournament. Shaun is known for being playful with her friends and rivals, whom she often teases in calmer moments, such as when she pointed out Unicorn Jab's attempts to flirt with Sienna Kido. She is a peaceful person who, while reluctant to get involved in fights, will not hesitate to defend others or fight for a just cause. The well-being of others is always a priority for her. She is very kind and friendly to her fellow Saints and even jokes with Jab about his crush on Miss Saori.

During her childhood, Shaun was a constantly crying child, which led to her being bullied and beaten by other children. It wasn't until her older brother taught her defensive techniques that she learned to protect herself. When they both awakened their Cosmo, they were sent by an unspecified person to train as Saints.

Eventually, Shaun obtains the Andromeda Cloth and receives a letter to enter the Galaxian Wars; however, he refuses to participate until his chain gives him a message forming the Greek word "AXIA," which means "value" or "something/someone important," so he only shows up hoping to reunite with his older brother.

During her first fight, Shaun defeats Jab with a single blow, advancing to the next round, but the tournament is interrupted by an attack from Vander Graad's militia and she, along with the rest of the Bronze Saints, is forced to defend the bunker where the event is taking place.

After defeating the first wave of tanks, helicopters, and soldiers, the quartet returns to the bunker only to find Nero stealing the Sagittarius Cloth. Shaun is thrilled to see him, but he attacks her, declaring that he hates her.

Nero escapes, and the group pursues him to a cave where Shaun confronts one of the Black Saints, defeating him after destroying the chip implanted in his neck. In an attempt to appease his brother's rage, he tries to offer himself as a sacrifice so that Nero will kill him and return him to his former self, but this fails. After Seiya's victory over Nero, the cave collapses, and although Shaun tries to save his brother, he is unable to do so.

Cosmo Manipulation: As Saint, Shaun can access a power known as Cosmo. This power is described as the primordial state of all matter released by the Big Bang, and every person carries the universe within them. Shaun can manipulate the atoms of his own body with great effectiveness to channel numerous supernatural powers and abilities inaccessible to ordinary humans. Superhuman strength: Shaun is able to jump dozens of feet vertically in the air without taking a running start. Superhuman speed: Shaun's ground speed is on par with that of a military-grade ground vehicle. Superhuman durability: She was able to withstand being thrown backwards by her brother with enough force to pulverize solid rock and form a cleft in a rock with a diameter slightly larger than the length of her body. Superhuman agility: Shaun proved to be able to move at superhuman speed with enough grace and fluidity to move with ease through difficult desert terrain. Superhuman senses: Shaun was able to follow even Seiya's hypersonic movements at a distance of less than 200 feet and could track his Cosmo signature for kilometers. Electrokinesis: With his Nebula Chains, Shaun can deliver an electric shock of at least 10,000 volts. Telekinesis: Through his armor, Shaun can manipulate and fight with his chains in a way that would baffle even a master of the weapon. Accelerated Healing: Shaun's Cosmo allows him to recover from even life-threatening injuries. Master chain fighter: Shaun masters the chains of his armor, using them for defense, attack, movement and immobilization. Expert strategist: Shaun was able to discern the weak point of the Black Knights' armor with a single glance and formulate a method to defeat them even while being beaten to a pulp.

Nebula Chain: Nebula Chain is the most basic and primary of Shaun of Andromeda's attacks, utilizing the accessory chains of his armor. In this attack, the Andromeda Saint manipulates one or both ends of the Andromeda chains to strike the opponent, similar to the use of the famous Japanese chain weapon, the Manriki-gusari. The chains can multiply into hundreds (it should also be noted that the length of Andromeda's chains is unlimited) to increase the number of strikes. Mechanically, it is a direct attack where the chains slide, envelop, and strike the enemy, and due to their destructive potential, their effect is almost always fatal. Rolling Defense: The Rolling Defense is a defensive technique used by the Andromeda Saints. This simple yet effective defensive technique utilizes the protective chain at the end of the circular arm guard on the left arm. It is the most appropriate form of defense when Shun is unaware of the opponent's attacks. The chain surrounds and envelops the Saint, rapidly spinning around him in quick, continuous circular motions at high speed to form a very compact spiral grid. This grid acts as a shield, blocking the passage of enemy blows and creating an effective barrier against physical attacks and projectiles. However, it has a weak point: a small opening appears every 100,000 rotations of the chain.

Thunder Wave: Thunder Wave, or "Thunder Wave," is a technique similar to the Nebula Chain. Shaun of Andromeda launches the square chain on his right arm at his opponent, automatically locating the threat or enemy regardless of distance. The chain's tip zigzags out like a wave, unleashing powerful, piercing attacks. It mimics the movement and appearance of lightning and can directly find its target, wherever it may be, even if it's light-years away or even in another dimension, ensuring it never misses. This is the chain's true offensive move, an evolution of the basic whip attack, but this time the chains move at a much higher speed, forming triangular patterns.

The diadem helmet is simple; its central piece is a rhombus, and two elongated, upward-pointing pieces extend from its ends. The shoulder guards are simple and extend beyond the shoulder area. The breastplate covers only the central chest and abdomen and is prism-shaped. The belt is very basic, with a pentagonal buckle in the center, and includes five gems. The arm guards are pointed at the ends and include the armor's famous chains. The chain with a circular tip, used for defense, extends from the left arm guard, while the chain with a triangular tip, used for attack, extends from the right arm guard. The knee guards are round; there are no boots.

The Andromeda Chain is an accessory of the Andromeda Cloth; it is the object that Shaun uses to perform most of his attacks, except for the nebular storm. Characteristics It has three colors in the series: it's silver with light blue shadows in its bronze version, it's rosewood in the manga, and it's a light gold tone in its God Cloth. Shaun can summon a rosewood-colored chain made of cosmos when he doesn't have his original chain. Furthermore, the version of the chain in V1 of the anime is different from that of the manga, being more similar to V2 that was seen from the Asgard Saga. It can be used both offensively and defensively. When Shaun's cosmos expands, the difference between the chains becomes more noticeable, with the square chain being for attack in his right hand and the circular chain for defense in his left hand. It can be used to track evil auras and warn of the presence of an enemy. The chain can track the enemy even if they are not visible (due to illusions or camouflage techniques) or if they are not present in the location, the chain can track them to where they are. They seem to have a life of their own. Sometimes they reveal things that Shaun doesn't know. Like, for example, when Phoenix appears for the first time and the message he gives the Bronze Saints: "AXIA". He has the ability to traverse dimensions as shown against Saga of Gemini and even help Shun move between them, as when he was able to return from Yomotsu after being sent by Death Toll. It is charged with 10000 volts that are discharged if the opponent touches it (to which the Gemini Saint and Mime of Benetnasch have shown themselves to be immune or unaffected). It can extend to infinity (this is the basis of its ability to traverse dimensions). Although Athena said that weapons are forbidden, this excludes the Andromeda Cloth (as well as the Sagittarius Cloth), since it is an accessory and part of the Cloth.

The Saints are an order of warriors who, under the command of the goddess Athena, protect world peace. These warriors are under the protection of one of the 88 constellations and fight using armor called Cloths. They are divided into three battalions of different ranks, following the order of the Olympic Games with the metals gold, silver, and bronze. Myth within the Saint Seiya universe says that they are capable of tearing the sky with their fists and shattering the earth with their kicks. Initially, only valiant men could be accepted into the Sanctuary. They had the duty to protect and serve the Goddess Athena and become her warrior Saints. Later, women were also permitted to fulfill this duty. However, these female Saints were required to wear a metal mask on their face to suppress their femininity and be considered equal to a man in battle. The unwritten rule among them states that for a female Saint to be seen without her mask by a man is a grave offense, far worse than being seen naked. In such cases, they can choose between two options: to kill the man, or to love him.

The Bronze Saints, also called Bronze Knights in the Latin American dub of the anime and in some official translations of the Saint Seiya manga, are the warriors who belong to the lowest rank in Athena's army, ranking below the Silver Saints and Gold Saints. However, despite being in the lowest rank, they are still powerful warriors with superhuman abilities and are a fundamental part of Athena's army. The Bronze Saints are part of the third of the three orders of Saints serving the Sanctuary and the goddess Athena. They are the lowest rank in Athena's army, and although they are recognized as the weakest, they possess great combat skills that far surpass those of a well-trained human. Thanks to their ability to tap into their inner cosmos, they have acquired superhuman abilities that allow them to reach speeds of Mach 1 (340.29 m/s), tear through the sky with their fists, and shatter the earth with their kicks. The Bronze Saints wear Bronze Cloths that correspond to the constellations shining in the night sky. Unlike Gold Cloths and most Silver Cloths, Bronze Cloths (also known as Bronze Armors) do not have a specific color associated with their name. These armors come in a variety of colors, though they are still made of legendary materials. The armors in this category are the weakest among the 88 Cloths worn by Athena's Saints. They are said to be able to withstand temperatures as low as -150°C, and some are equipped with accessories that the Saint can use in combat. Some also possess special abilities. In the event of an enemy invasion of the Sanctuary, the Bronze Saints are tasked with being the first line of defense and the vanguard of Athena's army.

Although they possess the ability to raise their cosmos like the Saints, the Sonota Saints (その他の聖闘士, Sonota Seinto, lit. "Other Saints") or Saints without a constellation (星座以外の聖闘士, Seiza igai no Seinto) are not protected by any of the 88 constellations. They wear special Cloths. They are not directly under the Pope's authority but rather under their leaders, such as Gigas and Phaeton. They were created by Toei Animation to give Masami Kurumada time to create the manga and later adapt it into the anime. The average power of most of these warriors does not compare to that of the true Saints, although they can be quite strong. They wear commemorative armors that represent mythological beings, nebulae, or even objects with no known definition, but they do not belong to the group of Athena's 88 Cloths. While these armors may not possess the same capabilities as others, they can have different special abilities. The material from which most are made is unknown, but Toei Animation in Saint Seiya Omega showed us that the Athenian Order could extract orichalcum from the earth, the most resistant special material from which the armors are made, and they may have even been able to create the "Sonota Cloths" with this metal.

Athena is the protector goddess of Earth. Her battles against other gods to defend the planet have taken place since the mythological era. The goddess reincarnates whenever a new threat looms over the world; according to Poseidon, Athena has reincarnated nine times. Aria is not the reincarnation of Athena, but a young orphan who received Saori's cosmos as a baby. Ludwig took possession of her and presents her as Athena's reincarnation in the 21st century. He claims Aria awakened as Athena and calls her "The New Athena." Artemis is the older sister of Athena and younger sister of Apollo. In the film Saint Seiya: Heaven Chapter Overture, she receives Nike from her sister, as well as control of the Sanctuary and the "throne" of Earth. At least two Bronze Saints and one Silver Saint serve her. Hades is the god of the Underworld and Elysium, the supreme leader of the Specters, and one of the goddess Athena's greatest enemies. Whenever a Holy War is about to begin, Hades takes the body of the purest-hearted youth as his host. On numerous occasions, he has revived Saints from Athena's side to serve him. Ludwig, also known as Mars, is the god of war and fire. He managed to seize the position of Grand Pope, and some Saints swore loyalty to him and aided him in his plans. Others believe he sought to help the Sanctuary. During his pontificate, Ludwig began to rebuild the order of the Gold Saints and appointed new Silver Saints.

The Grand Pope, or Supreme Pope, is a rank instituted by Ludwig for himself after seizing control of the Sanctuary. It allows him to govern and control the Saints in the name of "Athena," although the Gold Saints and many Silver Saints fight for him, even knowing that Aria is not Athena and therefore his appointment is invalid. After Mars' defeat, this title ceases to exist, as Harbinger assumes the position of Pope. The Pope is the highest human authority in the Sanctuary, responsible for representing Athena on Earth and commanding the Saints in her name. According to Mu, the Pope chooses his successor from among the Gold Saints. The Pope is usually a kind person who sometimes descends to the surrounding villages to heal people, and therefore enjoys the sympathy of the population. The Pope has the mission of preparing future generations of Saints to defend Athena and the world from future threats.

It is known that Athena, like other gods, could not remain continuously in a corporeal state on Earth. To ensure her ideal presence and perpetuate her dominion, however, she established an earthly center to represent her, from which her will could be carried out. When the forces of evil return to Earth, all the Saints gather around her in the Sanctuary. The Pope must coordinate the Saints' forces with the goddess's permission and, at his discretion, allocate the available resources within the Sanctuary. According to the Gigantomachia, the Pope is responsible for the command of all levels of the Saints hierarchy (Gold Saints, Silver Saints, Bronze Saints and Common Soldiers).

Their responsibilities include predicting the trajectory of the stars, monitoring for signs of malevolent activity, recording history, and transmitting the legacy of the Sanctuary's mystical secrets to future generations. When evil forces return to Earth, all the Saints gather around them at the Sanctuary. The Pope must coordinate the Saints' forces with the goddess's permission. From Star Hill, it is possible to communicate with Athena herself and even to ascertain humanity's destiny through the interpretation of the stars. Only the Pope is permitted access to Star Hill, unless someone else receives his permission or permission directly from Athena. The Pope is the guardian of the Sanctuary and must rule it with a master's touch. He is the undisputed leader of the Saints and the direct intermediary between Athena and them. He lives in the highest part of the Sanctuary and chooses his successor from among the Gold Saints, selecting the one most worthy to assume the position. The Pope must possess quality, strength, honesty, and purity, and must be a role model for the rest. Any controversy that cannot be resolved amicably is submitted to his judgment, thus making him the judge in disputes within the Sanctuary.

He, in turn, decides on the life, death, and continued existence of those under his authority. On numerous occasions, Saga ordered the execution of those who, according to him, "conspired against the Sanctuary" or failed to answer his "calls." He also decided to send Geist and his Ghost Saints into exile on Spectre Island. Because he is the direct representative of the goddess Athena on Earth, the Pope's will is not open to question, as it must be interpreted as the goddess's own will, which is infallible, and his judgment must be accepted as good and right. This, however, does not imply that the Pope is, in fact, always worthy of his office, as has been seen throughout history.

Personality; An orphan with a troubled past after his sister was kidnapped by a Gold Saint, Seiya is a hostile, defensive, but ultimately kind young man. He is blunt, stubborn, and brusque, which usually makes it difficult for him to see beyond the surface layers of the world. However, he remains a noble soul, willing to risk his life to serve a cause greater than himself.

Seiya is a sentimental man, as he keeps a childhood drawing of his sister Patricia as his only memento of her, and he becomes enraged when a group of thugs take it from his wallet. This attachment to his long-lost sister is what allows him to connect with his Cosmo for the first time. Appearance: A young man with brown hair, tanned skin, and brown eyes, Seiya is the stereotypical image of a teenager. In his civilian attire, he commonly wears a sleeveless red shirt, a red armband, blue jeans, and sneakers. However, as the Pegasus Knight, Seiya wears a form-fitting red suit along with silver armbands and a chest plate featuring a stylized Pegasus head. A constant throughout his armor is the appearance of stylized winged elements, including the design of his shoulder pads, wings on his boots, and even small wing-like protrusions on his back armor.

Cosmo: Seiya trained with Marin the Eagle at the Sanctuary in Greece to learn how to access a power known as Cosmo. This power is described as the primordial state of all matter released by the Big Bang, where every human being possesses the universe within themselves, as they are an expression of the universe endowed with enough intelligence to use it. By accessing his own personal universe and seeing the world as a simple mass of atoms, Seiya can use Cosmo to acquire multiple enhanced abilities, including: Superhuman strength: able to crush rocks and create craters in solid stone with his bare hands, Seiya has been shown to be able to stop blows from similarly enhanced humans. Superhuman speed: Seiya is able to move faster than the untrained human eye can perceive. Superhuman durability: Having been shown to withstand being thrown against rocks that shatter on impact, Seiya's body is several times more durable than that of an ordinary human. Superhuman agility: Seiya has demonstrated jumping distances far beyond even the best Olympic athletes. Superhuman perceptions: Like other Knights, Seiya is able to see objects moving at speeds much faster than normal for a human and can sense the Cosmo emitted by other Knights. Accelerated Healing: Seiya can use his Cosmo to rapidly heal his body from life-threatening injuries, as he did after defeating the Black Knight Cassios. However, this can leave him exhausted and unable to fight, as happened when he faced Phoenix Nero. Energy Projection: By burning his Cosmo, Seiya is able to launch energy projectiles.

Appearance: Despite his proud and cold demeanor, he is actually a reliable and compassionate ally. Although his name and genome are Japanese, he has Russian ancestry on his mother's side. This explains his blond hair, blue eyes, and tanned complexion, which distinguish him from his peers who have lived in Japan. He is slender and 1.73 meters tall, an average height for a 14-year-old Russian-Japanese boy. His civilian attire consists of a navy blue sleeveless shirt, black pants, yellow leg warmers, and matching shoes. Hyōga is a blond, blue-eyed, and slender young man. His Cygnus armor consists of a white suit made of hexagonal pieces of unknown composition. The armor's overlays are platinum-colored with steel-blue highlights centered around a sculpted swan's head on the chest plate and shoulder pads that evoke feathers. His casual attire consists of a blue sleeveless shirt, black pants, and black shoes.

Personality: Initially, Hyōga appears stoic, sadistic, and aloof. He is extremely obedient and accepts the Sanctuary's orders to assassinate Athena without question, but when given a reason to challenge them, he evades it. A reasonable and logical man, Hyōga is quick to criticize the apparent lack of sanity of others when they make questionable decisions, regardless of their success. His sense of humor is somewhat dry and cynical.

Hyōga is playful in combat, enjoying the thrill of antagonizing both his teammates and his enemies, remaining irreverent and arrogant.

Cosmos Manipulation: Hyoga possesses the ability to manipulate the power of the atoms in his body to achieve a variety of feats and supernatural powers. Superhuman strength: Magnus is capable of exerting strength that far surpasses the limits of the finest human athletes. His strength allows him to perform dozens of great leaps. Superhuman speed: Magnus is capable of moving at speeds far faster than the best Olympic sprinters, able to keep up with military helicopters. Superhuman durability: Magnus can withstand physical forces that no normal human could endure. This extends to his resistance to cold, allowing him to submerge himself deeply for extended periods in the frigid Arctic without any perceptible effort or effects of hypothermia. Superhuman agility: Magnus is able to move with dexterity and ease far beyond the limits of any trained gymnast. Superhuman senses: Magnus's perceptions allow him to see in near total darkness, detect the presence of Cosmo in others, and track these signals across vast distances. His eyesight can even keep pace with Seiya's hypersonic movements. Accelerated Healing: By using Cosmo, Magnus can heal his body tissues in a short period of time, although this power has its limits. Energy Projection: Magnus is able to project his Cosmo as an energy blast powerful enough to penetrate the tank's armor and kill the pilots inside. Cryokinesis: His signature ability, Magnus can generate and manipulate ice and snow at will with his Cosmo.

Description: The Cloth features a central protection structure formed by the neck and head of a swan. On its sides are two "wings." The chest has a "simple" protection structure with an additional "simple" design extending almost to the waist. The right arm is "simple," while the left arm is a shield. It has two "simple" knee pads, as do the feet, which have two wing-shaped ornaments at the ankles. The shoulder pads have a pointed design with three subdivisions.

Appearance: Shiryū is a muscular young man with long, black hair, dark green eyes, and peach-colored skin. His dragon armor features various shades of green, a dragon's head on the chest, dragon claws on the shoulder guards, and an incredibly sturdy shield on his left armband.

Personality: Shiryū is a stoic man who rarely converses with others, but maintains a strong connection with his loved ones. Long is a focused, dignified, and measured man who rarely uses his powers unless absolutely necessary, detesting the arrogance and impudence of his fellow Bronze Saints, even refusing to don his armor until his battle against Seiya.

By teaming up with Magnus, Seiya, and Shaun, he becomes a loyal and steadfast companion.

He admires great men like his master, and shows respect to those who have earned it, like when Seiya risked his life to restart his heart.
