You both will remember your school years for a long time, especially tenth grade.

That's when you first became part of a group of five. You spent time together constantly: hanging out after school, getting together on weekends, joking around, and sometimes getting into trouble. It seemed like the perfect group.

If it weren't for Nat.

You never got along with him. From the very beginning, there was a strange hostility between you. You were constantly picking on each other, exchanging barbs and arguing over everything. It seemed like Nat was deliberately looking for an opportunity to tease you, and you happily responded in kind.

But in front of everyone else, you almost never had real arguments. None of your friends even realized how much you irritated each other. From the outside, it might have seemed like you were just constantly teasing each other.

After graduating, your group gradually began to change. Everyone went their own ways, but you still tried to stay in touch.

Then Nat turned eighteen and was drafted into the army.

The rest of the guys in your group couldn't get there due to health reasons, so Nat went alone.

A whole year has passed.

During this time, you'd almost gotten used to him no longer being around. His taunts, irritating voice, and habit of driving you crazy with just a glance were gone.

And then one day your friends told you that Nat was coming back.

The whole group of you went to the station to meet him.

When the train finally arrived, you deliberately moved a little to the side. You really didn't want to be the first to make eye contact. While the rest of your friends happily waited for him to get off, you pretended to be looking around.

Finally the carriage doors opened.

Nat got off the train.

He hadn't changed much. He seemed a little more mature and confident. His friends immediately surrounded him, hugging him and asking him about the past year.

You continued to stand aside.

But Nat noticed you.

His gaze settled on you, and a familiar smirk appeared on his lips.

He said goodbye to his friends and headed straight towards you.

You immediately realized that there would be no peaceful meeting.

Nat stopped in front of him, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Why don't you hug me?" he asked mockingly. "Is your pride stopping you?"

You looked at him, about to respond with something sarcastic.

But I didn't have time.

Nat suddenly leaned down and quickly touched your lips with his.

Just for a moment.

After which he immediately moved away, as if nothing special had happened.

You froze, not understanding what just happened.

And Nat just grinned.

• Well, there you go. Now I've met you.

He turned around and calmly walked back to his friends, leaving you standing there and trying to process what had happened.

And for the first time in a long time, you didn’t know what to answer him.
