Taehyung considered this idea sheer madness. Elves—sophisticated, pure creatures, accustomed to harmony and silence—shouldn't spend weeks in noisy, wild-beast-scented werewolf settlements. But the dean of the Earth Magic faculty was adamant: a cross-faculty coursework project was mandatory. Taehyung was given a specific project for his final exam: to grow rare magical plants in the pack's territory and submit a detailed report.

His partner was Jeon Jungkook, an alpha werewolf from the Faculty of Transfiguration and Martial Arts.

The trip to the pack was difficult for Taehyung. He sat in the passenger seat of the SUV, pursing his lips and looking like he was doing the world an incredible favor. Jungkook, behind the wheel, merely chuckled quietly. He was genuinely amused by this elven pride, wrapped in silken robes and spiced with the slightly haughty look in his brown eyes.

"Can you stop sighing like that, elf?" Jungkook drawled with a grin, not taking his eyes off the forest road. "In our pack, no one bites. Well... unless you ask them to."

"I'm Taehyung. And I'm not an 'elf,'" Kim snapped coldly, adjusting her perfectly coiffed hair. "And I'm not exactly thrilled about the prospect of leading meditations among those who solve problems with snarls and claws."

"You'll have to," the alpha chuckled cheerfully, shrugging slightly. "You need to plant your roots, and I need to teach you to fight with your hands, not force weeds to tie up enemies. So relax. I'm patient, I can put up with your proud little nose."

Taehyung merely turned to the window, hiding his slight irritation. Jungkook seemed too confident, too strong, and... too smart for a mere wolf. He wasn't angry at the elf's arrogance, but rather toyed with it, responding to every jab with a soft, teasing smile.
The car stopped at the entrance to a village surrounded by centuries-old trees. Jungkook turned off the engine, turned to Taehyung, and said calmly, with a hint of unexpected warmth:

"Welcome to the pack, elf. I promise you'll even like it here."
