Maka Albarn's relationship with Arachne Gorgon is predominantly one of hostility. Unlike Maka's relationship with Crona, there is no friendship or close emotional bond between Maka and Arachne.
Arachne is a powerful witch, the older sister of Medusa Gorgon and leader of the Arachnophobia organization. Because she commands a force that directly clashes with Shibusen, she becomes an enemy of Maka, Soul, and the other students.
Maka views Arachne as a particularly dangerous threat, not only because of her power, but also because of her intelligence, manipulative abilities, and connection to Madness. Arachne prefers to control events and people strategically rather than relying solely on physical strength.
During the conflict between Shibusen and Arachnophobia, Maka participates in operations against Arachne's organization alongside Soul and his companions. Thus, the two find themselves on completely opposite sides: Maka fights to stop the spread of Madness and protect her friends, while Arachne seeks to use this chaos to further its own objectives.
There is also an interesting contrast between them. Maka represents courage, confidence, and Soul Resonance, building her strength through the bonds she has with Soul and her friends. Arachne represents much more manipulation, psychological control, and exploitation of Madness.

Asura — enemy and representation of fear: The Kishin Asura represents a much greater threat than a common adversary. His Madness spreads throughout the world and is deeply associated with fear. In the anime, the confrontation with Asura is fundamental for Maka, because it pits her courage against his philosophy that everyone ultimately succumbs to fear.

Medusa Gorgon — Enemy: Medusa is one of Maka's greatest personal enemies. Besides being an extremely dangerous witch, her manipulation of Crona gives Maka even more reason to confront her. Maka represents almost the opposite of how Medusa treats Crona: while Medusa uses fear, manipulation, and suffering, Maka tries to reach Crona through trust and friendship.

Ragnarok — initially hostile relationship: Ragnarok is the Demonic Weapon linked to Crona. Maka initially confronts it as an enemy. After Crona approaches the Shibusen group, Ragnarok continues to be inconvenient and provocative, but ceases to represent the same initial threat to Maka.

Crona — friendship, empathy, and a desire to protect: The relationship between Maka and Crona is one of the most emotionally significant. Initially, Crona is an enemy manipulated by Medusa and accompanied by the Demon Weapon Ragnarok. Instead of simply seeing Crona as someone who needs to be defeated, Maka perceives his loneliness and suffering. She manages to connect emotionally with Crona and helps show him that friendship and trust are possible. Maka begins to deeply care about his well-being.

Liz Thompson and Patty Thompson — friends and companions: Liz and Patty are Death the Kid's two Demon Weapons, transforming into pistols. Maka develops a friendship with both. Liz tends to be more rational, while Patty is unpredictable and childish, making the dynamic within the group quite varied.

Death the Kid — friend and ally: Kid starts out as another extremely talented student at Shibusen and later becomes a close ally of Maka. She respects his fighting ability, although his obsession with symmetry can irritate her or create comical situations. In the most important battles, Maka, Kid, and Black☆Star form the core of the leading Meisters of their generation.

Tsubaki Nakatsukasa — close friend: Tsubaki is the Demon Weapon and partner of Black☆Star. Maka maintains a very friendly relationship with her. Because Tsubaki is kind, patient, and balanced, her relationship with Maka is usually much more peaceful than Maka's with Black☆Star.

Black☆Star — close friend and companion: Black☆Star is one of Maka's most important friends at Shibusen. His boisterous, competitive, and impulsive behavior often irritates Maka, who is much more disciplined. Despite this, the two rely on each other during dangerous situations and develop a genuine friendship.

Maka's Mother — Mother and Great Inspiration: Maka's mother is an extremely skilled Meister and Spirit's former partner. Although she has little direct presence in the anime's story, she exerts a great influence on Maka. Maka admires her and inherited from her the determination to follow the path of a Meister.

Spirit Albarn — Father: Spirit is Maka's father and a Death Scythe. Despite being extremely powerful and deeply loving his daughter, his relationship with Maka is complicated mainly due to his infidelities during his marriage to her mother. Maka Albarn grew up in Death City surrounded by stories about Meisters, Demon Weapons, witches, and Kishins. For many people in Shibusen, her surname carried enormous significance: she was the daughter of Spirit Albarn, a powerful Death Scythe who had achieved what virtually every Demon Weapon aspired to.
For Maka, however, that was never a good enough reason to live in her father's shadow.
From an early age, she decided that she would join Shibusen and become a Meister through her own merit. Her goal was to find a Demon Weapon compatible with her soul, collect the necessary souls, and transform it into a new Death Scythe.
That's how she met Soul Eater Evans.
The two could hardly be more different.
Maka was studious, responsible, and disciplined. Soul preferred to act carefree and was constantly worried about appearing "cool." Arguments began practically from the start of their partnership.
Still, there was something between them that no amount of arguing could erase.
Their souls were compatible.

Her family relationships greatly influence her personality. Maka has complicated feelings towards her father, Spirit Albarn, a powerful Death Scythe. Although she recognizes his abilities as a weapon, she deeply disapproves of his personal behavior and often shows irritation when he tries to get close to her.
This contributed to Maka developing a strong need to prove that she can forge her own path.

In this interpretation, Maka retains its classic elements, but with a darker and more realistic appearance.
She has blonde hair, tied in two small side ponytails, with a few loose strands framing her face. Her green eyes are intense and attentive, conveying the character's characteristic determination.
Her uniform preserves Maka's visual identity: light-colored shirt, tie, long black coat, and plaid skirt in dark and reddish tones. Sturdy boots and light-colored gloves complete her combatant appearance.
The large scythe seen in his hands represents Soul in his weapon form. In this version, it has enormous proportions, a black blade with serrated red details, and a long metal shaft, creating a much more menacing appearance without altering the essence of the Meister-Weapon partnership.
