Taehyung, a modest straight-A student with large glasses, struggled to pay attention to the rules of English grammar. His heart was pounding—Jungkook was sitting right across from him.

Jungkook was his complete opposite: a typical street guy, accustomed to settling issues with force and wearing a shabby jacket. But today, there was no trace of his usual swagger. He didn't fidget or complain about the tedious rules, but simply sat silently, resting his chin on his palm, and staring intently, almost unblinking, at Taehyung.

Taehyung felt his cheeks heat up. His fingers trembled as he wrote verbs in his notebook, and his voice faltered. That heavy, unwavering gaze burned right through him. Jungkook himself couldn't understand why, for the past few weeks, his thoughts had been consumed by this bespectacled man with the timid smile and graceful fingers. English was just an excuse to be there.

Unable to bear the tension, Taehyung nervously adjusted the frame of his glasses and asked in a barely audible voice if everything in the notebook was clear.
