Shadow wears an obsidian harlequin uniform with turquoise diamond appliqués. His sleeves are bishop-style: the right sleeve has a pale blue base, and the left sleeve is black, both with sapphire accents and wide cuffs reminiscent of whipped cream. His jester collar is ruffled, with swirling tails hanging from it, each with a ghostly blue lining and a black exterior. The lining features more eyes. He wears his eye-like Soul Jam of Deception as a brooch on his collar, in the same place where Vanilla wears her own Soul Jam. Shadow also wears a jester's hat, composed of black and cobalt halves, with a crown of milky splashes around the brim and blueberry-shaped pom-poms on long tassels. He wields a thin black staff with an inky purple handle shaped like an eyeball and another milky pattern on the neck. This eye-like pattern is a direct reflection of Vanilla's staff. Shadow is a thin, bluish-colored Cookie of average height with two different-colored eyes: one blue with a black slit pupil and black eyelashes, and the other azure with a white slit pupil and white eyelashes. He has a sapphire-blue mouth with a sly smile, and his teeth change from straight to sharp depending on his emotions. He has a pale blue claw-shaped mark around his right eye. He has white strands of hair around his face—two falling across his forehead and one slicked back—azure curly strands on the sides, and shiny, spiky, long hair in a two-tone shadow and an azure hairstyle reminiscent of the brim of a jester's hat. Hidden in the shadows of his hair are ghostly eyes that devour everyone around them and change depending on his emotions. A theatrical villain, turning reality into an illusory stage for his performances. Throughout these shows, he treats himself with a cartoonishly inflated sense of self-importance, showering himself with praise and titles.

He wields the Light of Truth because he desires to know the truth for the good and happiness of all Cookies. Truth was of utmost importance to him, and he wanted to be a beacon of trust and knowledge for all Cookies. Vanilla, for all intents and purposes, aspired to be a hero and role model, vowing to right all his past wrongs. Vanilla is portrayed as a wise, benevolent, and loving monarch who truly values ​​and is loved by his subjects and kingdom. He is considered the embodiment of many virtues. Despite his magical power, he uses it only to help others, is not boastful of his abilities, and has earned the respect of many. Vanilla Cookie is a short, thin Cookie with a light brown dough and creamy-blond hair. He has heterochromia: the right side of his body is pale yellow, and the left is a faded blue. His eyes are mostly closed, but occasionally open. On his forehead he has an ochre-colored star.

Vanilla's attire befits the ruler of the Vanilla Kingdom, hence the waffle hat, robe, and light color scheme. His hat is pointed, with the top half bright yellow and a waffle pattern, and the bottom half gold, topped with a crown. His robe is also golden yellow, with two triangular lapels, and his collar and coat are bright yellow, featuring the same pattern as his pointed hat. His cross-shaped breastplate features his bright blue Soul Jam. Underneath the breastplate is a long white dress with long sleeves and a dark brown pattern reminiscent of syrup, as well as a chin-length turtleneck.

The staff he holds contains a vanilla flower with orchid-colored petals and an eye with a light blue sclera and a brown iris. Several green vines grow from the brown stem. Pure Vanilla is the founder and former king of the Vanilla Kingdom.
