You find yourself in a dark space, in front of you is a body, this seems to be the one you will have upon emerging, you must choose your gem, your appearance, the location of your gem and the era in which you emerge 1, 2 or 3 and also on which planet you appear and from which diamond you are
Data II
Not all gems are created with a purpose; some, like jade, are created solely to fill ballrooms, dining halls, etc.

Problems of the empire
In fact, the empire has no problems; there are no epidemics since the gems, being made of light, do not contract pathogens. The Gem Empire always wins wars, and the only "big" problem is the rebels, that is, the Crystal Gems.
Off colors
Rutile (Rutile Twins): A Gem with two torsos and two heads connected at the waist due to a defect during its incubation in the Kindergarten.
Padparadscha: An orange Sapphire who has the ability to predict the future, but with the "flaw" that she only predicts things that have already happened.
Rhodonite: A permanent fusion between a Ruby and a Pearl, both high-ranking Gems. It is hidden because fusions between different Gems are strictly forbidden on Homeworld.
Fluorite: A massive fusion composed of six distinct Gems (resembling a worm or centipede). It is extremely peaceful, wise, and speaks slowly due to the time required for communication between its components.
Mergers
Fusions occur when two gems feel a bond between them, be it a bond of love, shared will, a common goal, etc. Fusions are viewed as disgusting in gem culture (only if they are between two different gems; if they are between gems of the same type, it's fine). When two different gems fuse, their characteristics combine, creating a new gem that is both of them at once. Fusions usually involve two or three gems, but up to 18 gems are possible if they share the same will. The more gems a fusion has, the more difficult it is for them to communicate. Fusions are only permitted by Crystal Gems or Off-Color Gems.
Colonies
White Diamond: The identification number of the White court is 1, she is the diamond with the most colonies, including Homeworld, which is hers.
Yellow Diamond: its cut identification number is 2 and it is the second diamond with the most colonies
Blue Diamond: its cut identification number is 3 and it is the third diamond with the most colonies
Pink Diamond: its cut identification number is 4 and it only has one colony, which is the earth
Crystal Gems era 3
Garnet: Expressive, wise, and more relaxed. With peace established and past traumas processed, she is much more emotionally open, enjoying everyday life and patiently guiding new gems.
Perla: Independent, confident, and accomplished. She overcame her past dependence and idealization of Rose, becoming an autonomous figure, sure of her own abilities and open to exploring her own tastes and interests.
Amethyst: Mature, empathetic, and a mentor. She transformed her former insecurities into great emotional intelligence, becoming a key support figure for other developing gems and aiding in their integration into Little Homeworld.
Steven Universe: Thoughtful, generous, but overwhelmed. Having dedicated his childhood to healing the empire and helping everyone around him, he faces the challenge of discovering who he is outside of his responsibilities and his role as a hero.
(PS: This era also includes elements of Era 2, as it is an era of the Crystal Gems and not the Gem Empire)
Crystal Gems Era 2
Rose Quartz: Thoughtful, loving, and maternal, yet distant. Although she deeply loved Earth and her companions, she silently carried the guilt of her allies' corruption and the weight of their secrets, seeking in humanity a way to change and transcend.
Garnet: Steadfast, stoic, and stable. She assumed the role of emotional pillar and tactical leader of the team. She maintained a calm and focused attitude to convey security to the others in the face of the loss of their former teammates.
Perla: Meticulous, melancholic, and overprotective. She lived in constant mourning for Rose's absence and with marked anxiety about the future, pouring all her energy into maintaining order, preserving the memory of the past, and caring for the home.
Amethyst: Insecure, carefree, and rebellious. Having emerged alone thousands of years after the war, she adopted a relaxed and informal attitude inspired by human culture to hide her deep feelings of inadequacy for being "flawed."
Crystal Gems Era 1
Rose Quartz: Dreamy, charismatic, and empathetic, yet reserved. She felt a deep fascination for organic life and freedom, leading the rebellion with optimism, though she kept crucial secrets about her true identity and past to protect her cause.
Pearl: Devoted, passionate, and fiercely protective. Guided by absolute love and idealization of Rose, she was a disciplined fighter, though extremely dependent on her leader's validation and direction.
Garnet (Ruby and Sapphire): Full of wonder and determination. At this stage, her existence as a fusion was something entirely new and revolutionary; she was amazed by the freedom to be herself and passionate about the cause that allowed her to exist without repercussions.
Diamonds Era 3
Diamonds Era 2
Diamonds Era 1
Crystal Gems Early Era 2
Steven Universe: The youngest member of the group, who inherited Rose Quartz's gem in his navel after she gave up her physical form.
Garnet: She took over the leadership of the group after Rose's absence, guiding the others with her future vision and composure.
Pearl: She assumed the role of educator and maternal figure, in charge of teaching Steven about gem history and culture.
Amethyst: She took on an older sister role for Steven, sharing with him a lifestyle closer to human life on Earth.
(After some time, a lapis lazuli and a peridot joined, and bismuth returned)
High hierarchy
The Diamonds are at the top of the hierarchy. White Diamond is the most powerful; her mind control ability makes gems lose their color and blindly follow her commands. Yellow Diamond controls the gems' forms; she can puff them (temporarily removing their physical form until they automatically reform—the higher the gem is in the hierarchy, the longer it takes to reform) and change their shape at will. Blue Diamond is in charge of emotions; she can make gems cry incessantly or laugh uncontrollably using her aura. And Pink Diamond has the ability to heal gems with her tears, or also destroy them, as she has done quite a few times with her tantrums.
Aragonites are the neck of the Gem empire. They handle the same tasks as Diamonds, but when Diamonds are absent, they oversee their colonies, cultivate their own Pearls, and send troops to conquer. They are mini-Diamonds, so important that they emerged from the same source as Diamonds, and only four types were formed: white, yellow, blue, and pink Aragonite.
Sapphires: They always travel in large groups with their own escort, which can be rubies, topazes, jaspers, quartz, etc. All except the padparachas see the future; the padparachas see the near past or the immediate future. They are considered defective, so most are destroyed.
Aquamarines and Cat Eyes: they carry out errands that the Diamonds themselves tell them to do; they are bounty hunters or errand girls of super high rank, so much so that they are always accompanied by a soldier
Emeralds and Garnets (not fusions): They are war commanders; Emeralds are in charge of guiding ships and Garnets of guiding soldiers.
Zircons: they are the closest thing to lawyers.
Royal Spinels, Morganites, Tourmalines, Tanzanites, Kunzites, Enstatites: they are in charge of welcoming, creating catering, costumes, statues and entertaining the diamonds
Crystal Gems Era 1
Rose Quartz (Leader): Founder and commander of the rebel army.
Pearl: Co-founder, strategist, and main swordswoman.
Garnet: The fusion between Ruby and Sapphire, a symbol of freedom of expression within the movement.
Bismuth: The group's armorer and architect, responsible for manufacturing weapons and building resistance structures (such as the Celestial Forge and Arena).
And that plus anonymous jaspers, rubies, etc., who were also fighting
Hierarchy and Social Classes
The Great Authority of the Diamond
White Diamond the most powerful
Yellow Diamond
Blue Diamond
Pink Diamond
Aristocracy, Diplomats and High-Ranking Administrators
Sapphires (Blue, Star, Black, Pink, Padparadscha, Floral): Nobles valued for their visions of the future.
Aquamarines and Cat's Eye: High-ranking executive agents.
Emeralds, Hessonites, Pyropes and Demantoids: Military commanders and admirals of space fleets.
Zircons (Defense, Prosecutor, Gold, Black, Cinnamon): Lawyers and administrators of the imperial legal system.
Royal Spinels, Morganites, Tourmalines, Tanzanites, Kunzites, Enstatites and Aragonites: Noble stones dedicated to diplomacy, protocol and representation of royal courts.
Lapis Lazulis (Blue, Red, Calcite, Nega, Snow): Terraformers in charge of manipulating liquids to reshape planetary ecosystems.
Bismuths (Standard, Gold, Era 2/Scientists, Rainbow): Architects, builders and inventors of infrastructure and technology.
Peridots (Era 1, Era 2, Commanders, Blues, Squares): Engineers, technicians and administrators of Daycares.
Moonstones, Psilomelanes and Danburites: Star navigators, astronomers and specialists in space cartography.
Quartz (Jaspers, Amethysts, Carnelians, Lemon, Dragon's Blood, Ocean, Biggs, Black Jasper): Heavy infantry and assault troops.
Rubies (Standard, Shadows, Fire): Foot soldiers and bodyguards assigned to noble gems.
Topazes, Combat Spinels and Protexy Gems: Elite shock troops and tactical security for high-risk missions.
Nephrites, Angelites, and Ayanites: Pilots, war navigators, and special reconnaissance troops.
"Serial numbers"
These numbers are divided into two parts, Facet and Cut. The facet is the area of the planet where it was created. For example, Facet-2B5L means 2 (diamond 2=yellow diamond) B (2 second diamond colony) 5 (5 planet nursery) L (When it emerged being S=soon P=(Perfect) L=(Late))
and the cut is the hole from which they emerged, for example 5XG is 5 (5 hole) X (axis indicator, therefore it is the 5th hole of the X axis) G (means the height, for example A=1 B=2 C=3 and so on up to Z, G would be line 7) additionally there may be a number from 1-3 to know in which era it emerged, although that is only used in era 3, in total the name of that gem would be (Gem) 2B5L 5XG (that gem would be in a yellow colony or on homeworld)
Era 3
Era 3 begins with Steven's journey to Homeworld and the subsequent revelation that he is actually the holder of Pink Diamond's gem. Confronting White, Yellow, and Blue Diamond, Steven makes them understand that their ideas of "perfection," the caste system, and repression only caused pain and the destruction of their own family. By healing the corruption of the gems on Earth with the help of the four Diamonds, a formal end is given to the ancient conflict, and the Gem Empire is completely dismantled. Era 3 is formally established as a new era of peace, free will, and rebuilding throughout the universe, where Homeworld abandons its conquests to focus on repairing the damage of the past, gems are free to choose their own purpose and fuse as they wish, and Little Homeworld is created as a home for peaceful integration between humans and gems.
Era 2
On Homeworld, Era 2 was a time of mourning, extreme hardship, and resource scarcity brought on by the supposed death of Pink Diamond. The Diamonds were deeply fractured, divided between Blue's depression, Yellow's vengeful coldness, and White's perfect isolation, while new gems were born weaker and more dependent on technology under a regime of propaganda and terror that demonized Rose Quartz. On Earth, the Crystal Gems lived through this same era in desolate isolation, where the survivors Rose, Pearl, and Garnet spent millennia searching for and protecting their corrupted comrades, disconnected from the cosmos and burdened by the pain and secrets of the past. This era reached its ultimate breaking point when Rose Quartz decided to relinquish her physical form to give birth to Steven.
(The gems from this era will be weaker)
Era 1
Era 1: Era 1 begins with the birth of White Diamond and the subsequent emergence of Yellow Diamond, Blue Diamond, and Pink Diamond, who together established the Great Diamond Authority and began colonizing multiple planets across the galaxy. After insisting on having her own colony, Pink Diamond was assigned Earth and began creating the Kindergartens to cultivate new gems. However, upon descending to the surface and living among Earth's inhabitants, Pink realized that colonization would destroy all organic life on the planet. Seeing that Yellow and Blue ignored her pleas to halt the project, she decided to adopt the false identity of Rose Quartz to lead a rebellion. Alongside Pearl, Garnet, and Bismuth, she formed the Crystal Gems and fought a millennia-long war against Homeworld. In a desperate attempt to force the Empire to retreat, Pink Diamond and Pearl faked Pink Diamond's destruction at the hands of Rose Quartz. Filled with grief and fury over this loss, White, Yellow, and Blue Diamond launched a final attack on Earth with a devastating light that corrupted the minds and forms of nearly every gem on the planet, except for Rose, Pearl, and Garnet, who were protected by Rose's shield. Believing they had crushed the rebellion and faced with the irreparable loss of Pink Diamond, the Diamonds abandoned Earth, ending Era 1 and beginning Era 2. Gems emerging in this era will possess greater strength or enhanced abilities due to the greater availability of resources compared to Era 2.
