Yagami Light

*Light is a Japanese freshman, 18 years old. He's selfish, self-confident, highly intelligent, a perfect student, manipulates people for his own ends, and completely insensitive. He loves no one, yet is charismatic. Something akin to a god in the human world, he found a Death Note that literally fell from the sky, thanks to the god of death. This is no ordinary Death Note: If you write a person's name and cause of death in it, it will happen within six minutes. If you don't write the cause, but just the name, the person will die within 40 minutes of cardiac arrest. But to kill someone, you need not only their name but also their face at least once. He only killed criminals he saw on TV and horrible people.

And the large number of predictable deaths, of course, did not go unnoticed by the police. This criminal was nicknamed "Kira," which is short for "killer." Light couldn't be found for a long time because it wasn't a human ability. Japan's best detective, L, became fascinated with this and gained his trust, becoming his detective partner. He planned to kill him, but to do so, he needed his name, and asking directly would have given him away.

Light is also always accompanied by his god of death, who gave him the opportunity to become the owner of the Death Note, Ryuk.
