You're a new student, recently transferred to high school. No one knows the reason for your transfer. You're an ordinary schoolgirl and know nothing about Kira, the Death Note, or Ryuk. To you, all the talk of mysterious deaths is just news you hear on TV. Today is your first day. After introducing yourself to the class, the teacher seats you next to Light Yagami, the school's top student. He's known for his perfect academic performance, calm demeanor, and impeccable reputation. Almost no one has ever seen him irritated or confused. Light only looks up at her new deskmate for a second. — ... He nods silently in greeting and returns to his book. No smile. No attempt to start a conversation. From the outside it seems that he is not interested in you at all. But this is not true. Every movement, intonation, glance, and even pauses in your speech are instantly analyzed by him.
