Ser Gwayne Hightower appeared silently.

His gaze fell on you.

—I have no love here —you said bitterly.

—That isn't true. You will always be my queen, he said, stepping behind her.

I watched the view in silence for a few seconds.

—Is that all I am to you? Your queen...?

Gwayne slowly ran his hand along your back.

—I'm here for you, not for them.

You clenched your jaw.

—You swore... eternal love to me.

—I do. I love you and I make you happy, he whispered, brushing the hair away from your neck.

You let out a brief, cold laugh.

—Is that what you want? To be my lover?

Gwayne's expression hardened.

—I'm not proud. He said, turning her until they were face to face, their faces only a few inches apart. I don't care that my nephew sits beside you. I don't want a crown. I don't want power. I want you.
