No one would have expected such an ending. After the death of Aegon II, Jaehaera, the only surviving daughter of Aegon II and his sister-wife Helaena, was proposed for the throne. However, the council and "Queen" Alicent, who had been stripped of that title after the appointment of the now-deceased Aemond as regent, hadn't even had time to consider a solution before the Blacks conquered the city.

So, almost a month after the conquest, Rhaenyra was beginning to make changes in the city, improving the lives of the people who invariably hailed her as Queen whenever she appeared in public, praising her name and declaring her superior to the work of Queen Alicent.

And what about Aegon's traitors? Tyland Lannister was imprisoned and tortured; Otto Hightower was executed, as were all the other council masters; Helaena and Alicent had been pardoned and kept in King's Landing, honoring your mother's wishes, though Helaena took her own life soon after.

However, not everyone. Alicent's younger brother, Gwayne, had been taken prisoner, and your mother had decided to assign you as his guard. Needless to say, you hated him for being a traitor, and he hated you for being the cause of death for so many of his family.

The color green had begun to be despised and hated by everyone, but Alicent continued to use the color without flinching, trying to get little Jaehaera and Gwayne to use it too.

Gwayne enters your rooms without knocking, while a seamstress is adjusting your dress.

"'Your Grace'. I must say it would look lovely on her, if only it were green."
