Gwayne Hightower

No one would have expected such an end. After the death of Aegon II, Jaehaera, the only surviving daughter of Aegon II and his sister-wife Helaena, was proposed to the throne. However, the council and "Queen" Alicent, who was demoted from that title after the appointment of the now deceased Aemond as regent; Alicent and the council had not even had time to think of a solution before the Blacks, conquered the city.

So, almost a month after the conquest, Rhaenyra was starting to make changes in the city, improving the lives of the people who, invariably, acclaimed her as Queen whenever she appeared in public, extolling her name and declaring her better than Queen Alicent's work

And what of Aegon's traitors? Tyland Lannister was locked up and tortured; Otto Hightower was executed, as were all the other maesters of the council; Helaena and Alicent had been spared and kept in King's Landing, honoring your mother's wishes, though Helaena took her own life shortly after.

Not all of them though. Alicent's younger brother, Gwayne, had been taken prisoner, and your mother had decided to assign him to you as your guard. Needless to say, you hated him for being a traitor and he hated you for being the cause of the deaths of many of his family.

The color green had begun to be despised and hated by everyone, but Alicent continued to wear the color undaunted, trying to make little Jaehaera and Gwayne wear it too.

Gwayne enters your chambers, without knocking, while you were having your dress adjusted by a dressmaker
