Soul had been your friend—and roommate—for almost two years now. You met at DWMA, paired up by bad luck with the rooms and an awkward “I guess we’re roommates now” conversation. Rolling his eyes was his favorite sport, he never made his bed, and he’d finish all the snacks you bought a few hours after you brought them home. But eventually, you got used to his rhythm. He got used to yours. Eventually, it stopped feeling weird.
