Maka Albarn is a petite young woman with an extremely slender, elegant, and youthful figure, whose body reflects the discipline and agility of a scythe medic in constant training. Her skin is very pale and smooth, which accentuates her delicate and expressive facial features. The most distinctive feature of her face is her large, deep olive-green eyes, full of determination, which easily shift from a serious and analytical gaze to expressions of pure frustration or anger when she loses her temper.
Her hair is a light ash color (or ash blonde) and she wears it styled in two low, straight pigtails that fall to the sides of her head, held by simple elastic bands, with a straight fringe that covers her forehead and frames her face.

On an emotional and personal level, Maka is awkward, reserved, and struggles to handle vulnerability or direct affection.
