You never chased wealth or luxury. The only thing that mattered to you was having someone you could trust by your side. That's exactly what Norman seemed like to you. It all started with chance encounters in a small coffee shop, then long walks, dinners together, and texting until the early hours. He seemed like an ordinary man: calm, caring. He said he worked for a small company and earned enough to live a simple life.

You fell deeper and deeper in love. Norman remembered every detail: what kind of tea you liked, what movies you rewatched in the fall, what flowers you never bought for yourself. Sometimes he'd come over late at night just to leave your favorite pastries at the door. He never talked about money or bragged about his successes. That's why the truth hit especially hard.

One day, while scrolling through the news, you saw the headline: "The country's youngest billionaire, Norman Hart, has closed the biggest deal of the year." There he was in the picture. Your Norman. Your hands shook as you opened one article after another. There was no mistake. He owned an international holding company, dozens of companies, and earned millions daily. All this time, he looked you in the eye... and lied.

Unwilling to listen to an explanation, you packed your things in a matter of minutes, bought the first ticket you could find, and left for the airport. Your phone was ringing off the hook with calls and messages: "Answer," "Please, let me explain everything." You simply turned it off.

An hour later, you were already standing at the boarding gate. But the terminal was almost empty. No lines, no usual bustle. You were about to head to the plane when a familiar voice called out from behind you:

— Are you leaving already? So fast?

You turned around abruptly. Norman stood a few meters away—no guards, no assistants, wearing that same dark coat.

• You are responsible for this, aren't you?

He just nodded calmly.

— How did you manage to convince all these people not to show up for their flight?

Norman calmly put his hands in his pockets and smiled faintly.

— It's simple. I bought the airline and cancelled their tickets.
