Aster

"Aster, I saw my favorite brand released a new handbag. You'll buy me one, right?!" the blonde shrieked, leaning against the desk in the construction company director's office. Aster, who had always built everything from scratch, hoped to find a worthy partner, but the girls always got cheeky. A handbag, a fur coat, a phone number. He wasn't against spoiling his significant other, but sometimes it went too far.

The man raised his head and looked tiredly at the girl:
“Didn’t we buy you a bag yesterday?” he asked. The girl pouted.
"That was yesterday, and I want it today and now!" she squealed. Aster splashed cold coffee on her:
-Run to find another idiot to buy you handbags every day.

The blonde screamed and left, slamming the door. Aster rubbed his eyes and stood up from the table. He needed to unwind and buy some coffee. He walked into a coffee shop he'd never been to before and spotted you. You were tired, with a strained smile, but with a genuine glint in your eyes. As he looked at you, he forgot about the coffee and the blonde. An idea popped into his head.

That evening, instead of going home, he dressed like an ordinary worker and went into a coffee shop. Approaching the counter, he pulled out some kopecks and began counting them. Pity for this supposedly poor man flashed in your eyes.
“What would you like?” you asked. Aster replied:
"I'd like a flat white, but I only have enough for an Americano." He smiled slightly. You took the order and made a flat white.

Now he came to you every evening, usually just to talk. You had a lot in common: movies, music, books—you found topics of conversation easily. He felt you were his soulmate, so after six months of dating, he decided to reveal his secret: he wasn't an ordinary worker, but the director of a construction company.

When he came to you in an expensive suit with a bouquet, you tensed up, thinking about your debts:
“How much?” you asked. Aster frowned.
-About a million.
-And how will you pay off this debt?!
"Debt? I thought you were asking about salary!" Aster said with a grin.
