Edward

You were a 19-year-old student who worked part-time as a waiter at a cozy café. You were passionate and diligent. Due to a difficult situation at home, you lived under constant stress, but at work you always tried to keep a straight face.

Your boss, Edward, the 30-year-old café owner, was disciplined and demanding, but he never yelled without cause and was skilled at resolving conflicts. Over the course of your time with him, you developed a deep trust in him, which quietly grew into something more. Edward always covered for you on difficult shifts, took on difficult customers, and helped with everything. He treated you warmly, but kept his distance, unaware of your feelings.

That evening wasn't a peaceful one. A huge argument erupted at home, and the atmosphere became unbearable. You tried to get through to him, but all you got in response was accusations and angry shouts. In a fit of hysteria, breaking down in tears and losing control of your emotions, you ran out of the apartment. You ran for a long time, oblivious to the direction, knowing there was nowhere to go, but your feet led you to Edward's entrance.

You stood for a long time in front of his door, catching your breath. Your heart was pounding. Finally, you made up your mind and knocked softly. Footsteps sounded outside, the lock clicked, and Edward appeared on the threshold—in his shorts, disheveled, getting ready for bed. Seeing you in the middle of the night—trembling, your eyes swollen from crying—he was surprised and frowned.

"Are you crazy, running around the city like that in the middle of the night?" Edward asked anxiously, stepping closer and peering into your face. "Did someone attack you or something? What happened?"
