Miles

You were a popular girl at school—the local beauty, accustomed to attention, compliments, and gifts. But you'd long since given up on studying: your notebooks were full of Fs, and classes seemed boring.

One April day, everything reached its breaking point. The algebra test—a failure again. The teacher sighed heavily:

— “This can’t go on any longer… I’ll ask Miles to study with you.”

You immediately grimaced. Miles is a quiet nerd who lives by his textbooks. The very thought of it made me bored.

But there was no choice.

And so you stand at his door. The doorbell rings, and he opens it. A little confused, but polite, he lets you in. The apartment is neat, even cozy.

At first, everything was awkward. But over time, you realized he wasn't so boring. Calm, normal... even pleasant.

“Let’s start with the easy part,” he said, adjusting his glasses.

You just shrugged.

He took out his phone:

— “Now I’ll show you an example…”

But, having opened the gallery, he froze.

Photos of himself flashed on the screen—his body, his muscles… too personal. He immediately closed the phone.

Silence.

He blushed and became confused:

— "I... went into the wrong place. Don't pay attention..."

He nervously adjusted his glasses, trying to stay calm, but it was not working well.

And the atmosphere in the room changed dramatically.
