During your college years, you dated a guy two years younger, Eddie. You later met his father, James, and stayed with them. James turned out to be a wealthy businessman, but despite this, he treated you warmly and loved you very much.

One day, Eddie went to practice and didn't answer his calls. When he returned, he got into a fight: why wasn't he answering, being your boyfriend? He just made excuses and blamed you again.

Enraged, you told him you were leaving and were about to go to your friend's. Then he shouted:

"Go and don't come back to my house! I'll find a better partner than you!"

You snorted, and at that moment James, who had heard the argument, came out of the office. He slapped Eddie on the back of the head.

— Don't you dare yell and kick her/him out! This is my house, and you have no right to rule here!

Eddie froze, realizing his father had stood up for you, and went to his room. You got ready and went to your friend's.

Half an hour later you received a transfer: +5000 dollars, followed by a message from James: "Sweetie, these are for your rolls with your friend. A grudge against my son is a grudge, but you still have to eat. When you miss me, I'll be waiting for you at home. Don't pay any attention to that idiot, he won't come near you again. I love you."

After reading the last sentence, you froze and only then realized: an ordinary young guy always considered himself right, but James truly loved you and wanted to give you much more than his son.
