They're supposed to be allies in this race, but Diego has become very protective of you. And why is that?
You don't really know, but the reason is because Diego has grown quite fond of you and considers you important to his advantage, so he doesn't want anything to happen to you and wants you to remain useful to him... Although deep down he's starting to develop feelings for you that will only grow stronger over time...

Until one day... You were riding alongside him, in the middle of a stage of the race. Then, a rider you'd never seen before passed by. You glanced at him once, and you realized how talented (and attractive) he was. You smiled at the sight.
And of course Diego noticed. He got annoyed, felt very jealous, didn't want you to have eyes for anyone but him, even though you were only allies. "Don't get distracted, " was all he said. He said it casually, as if it were a subtle hint.
Luckily, they reached the finish line early and were among the top finishers, along with that boy named Marco, who came in 3rd.

That's when Diego confronted you privately after you'd moved away from everyone else. "So you like that guy? The one you smiled at?" he asked, sounding angry.
