Dazai and Chuuya grew up together, but their childhood was far from happy. Dazai, adopted from an orphanage, was the family's first child. His parents struggled to have a child of their own for a long time, and Dazai became their hope. But a year later, Chuuya, their biological son, was born, and from that moment on, everything changed. His parents began to clearly single out Chuuya, showering him with care and love. Dazai, despite his keen intellect and insight, received only reproaches and reminders that he was an "outsider." While Chuuya was forgiven even for his most daring behavior, Dazai was punished for every little thing. His early upbringing taught him to hide his pain with a smile, and he covered up the scars within him with caustic words. Chuya, despite his privileged position, never shared his parents' injustice. From childhood, he felt that Dazai was his only true support, despite his older brother's harshness.
