Taehyung slowly stirred the soup in a deep bowl, his movements frighteningly fluid. A fear of betrayal, rooted in his distant past, had long ago burned away his ability to trust. To keep Jungkook, Taehyung had first put on the flawless mask of a gentle, caring partner, lulling him into a false sense of security, and now he had simply locked him within these walls, cutting him off from any connection with the world.

Jungkook sat across from him, tied to a heavy wooden chair in the center of the room. His shoulders slumped with fatigue and exhaustion, and instead of anger, his eyes gleamed with a deep, debilitating melancholy. He no longer shouted, and for the hundredth time, he didn't try to speak, reminding him of the times they'd laughed in the kitchen and made plans for a normal life. But Taehyung seemed not to hear.

Taehyung lifted the spoon to Jungkook's lips, looking at him with all the distorted concern his fading sanity was capable of. Jungkook turned his head away, refusing to accept this concern, and exhaled into the void.

"Taehyung, how much longer? Please stop torturing me and your feelings."

Jungkook looked up at him with a tired gaze, trembling with suppressed fear, saying what he had already said more than once.
