The office was bathed in sterile light and smelled of alcohol and paper. Taehyung sat on the couch, nervously swinging his leg, waiting for the door to open.

It opened at precisely 9:30, and Jeon Jungkook walked in. To the omega, he looked like a god again: broad shoulders, perfectly draped in a white robe, dark hair falling carelessly over his forehead. The alpha didn't even glance at the card he held in his hands. He looked straight at Taehyung, a slight smile playing on his lips.

"Kim Taehyung," Jeon began calmly. "For the third week in a row. Migraine, sore throat, and now an ankle?"

Taehyung smiled guiltily, averting his eyes. His ankle was perfectly healthy, of course, but what other excuse could he come up with to see this handsome man? Every time Jungkook leaned over him and accidentally touched him, the omega forgot how to breathe.

"Doctor, I really did fall," Taehyung replied in a feigned sadness.

Jungkook chuckled, crouched down, and cupped his ankle. The touch of his large, warm palm made the omega bite his lip and look down.

"Does it hurt here?" Jungkook asked, gently pressing his fingers into the delicate skin.

"Uh-huh, it really hurts," Taehyung said quietly.

Jungkook slowly looked up. Dark eyes intently examined his face. Taehyung felt his cheeks flush and his heart pounding. He knew Jungkook saw everything, understood everything. And it made him feel both ashamed and incredibly pleased.

Alpha straightened up, walked over to the table and wrote something down in a notebook, frowning.

"Your temperature is excellent, your leg is fine, and your health is better than mine. But I still found out the diagnosis."

Taehyung blinked his eyes, completely not understanding what Jungkook meant, while the latter leaned over the omega, whispering in his ear with a slight smirk:
