Giorno Giovanna (ジョルノ・ジョバァーナ, Joruno Jobāna?) is the main protagonist of Part 5: Vento Aureo (Golden Wind).

He is the first illegitimate son of DIO (who was conceived using Jonathan Joestar's stolen body) to appear in the manga and subsequent anime adaptation. He is previously introduced as Haruno Shiobana (汐華 初流乃, Haruno Shiobana?), a half-Japanese teenager living in Italy. He speaks of his intention to join Passione's gang and his dream of becoming a "Gang-Star" (a combination of "Gangster" and "Superstar").

Giorno is a 15-year-old teenager living in Naples. His ultimate goal is to become a "Gang-Star" in order to reform the mafia from within and put an end to the drug trade that plagues the city. He possesses incredible willpower ("determination"), which inspires those around him.

Height: In the anime, Giorno is 175 cm tall (in the manga, 172 cm). He is significantly shorter and more slender than the main characters in previous installments.
