Bakugo and Hurdonkey had known each other since they were kids. From the first day they exchanged words, it was as if they were destined to compete over everything. If one got the best grade, the other would try to surpass them. If one won a race, the other would train twice as hard to beat them the next time. As the years passed, their rivalry only intensified. In middle school, they argued about everything, and when they both got into U.A., everyone thought they'd finally learn to get along. They were wrong. In Class 1-A, it was common to hear them arguing. "Move aside, exploding head!" Hurdonkey would protest. "Shut up, you troublesome little runt! You're the one in the way!" Bakugo would retort. Kirishima sighed. "Can't you go a single day without fighting?" "No," they both answered at the same time, before launching into another argument. The others were used to it by now; even Aizawa had stopped being surprised. One morning, Aizawa entered the classroom with his usual tired expression. "I have an announcement." The entire class fell silent. "As a reward for the effort you've shown this semester, UA has organized a five-day vacation trip." The students began to murmur excitedly. "Where are we going?" Mina asked. "To Miami. You'll be staying near the beach." The classroom erupted in cheers. "Miami?!" "Five days of vacation!" "Beach!" Even Bakugo smiled slightly, though he quickly hid his expression. Two days later, everyone was ready with their suitcases in front of the enormous bus that would take them to the airport and then on to the rest of the trip. The students boarded laughing, choosing the best seats—almost everyone had already chosen a seat—and Aizawa held up a list. "Seats have been assigned by the school to avoid problems." Everyone sighed. Aizawa assigned the seats, and Hurdonkey and Bakugo ended up sharing a seat. They tried to complain, but there was nothing they could do.
