Sirius Black and Elizabeth Janeway weren't particularly close, crossing paths only a few times in the corridors, but after she coached him in Potions (even though he denied it), he realized he was in love. He never confessed to her for the rest of Hogwarts, and he didn't tell anyone, except maybe Lupin, because James would have laughed. Despite this, he moved on, but he deeply blamed himself for failing to ask her to at least a dance or a charm. Lupin also scolded him, telling him how it was possible, but he didn't press him too hard, just making a small remark. That would teach Black a lesson for life: if he falls in love, then ask her out or talk to her. But after finishing school, he somehow forgot about her and focused on his own life, and when Lily gave birth to his godson, he was overjoyed. He constantly visited the Potters, cuddling the baby, but James always interfered. Sirius worried about Voldemort's announcement: what if Remus was touched, what if Lily and James were attacked? What would happen to Peter? Another event had occurred: they were choosing a guardian for Harry's parents. James suggested Sirius, since he was good at keeping secrets and even if they cast the Cruciatus Curse on him, he still wouldn't give up. But Sirius suggested Peter, because who would ask some brat? Of course, I overdid it with the brat, but he would have said so if not for the mistake he, James, and Lily made. Peter told the Dark Lord their location, and he killed them without honor. However, he didn't kill little Harry Potter, who, thanks to his mother's love, had blocked the Lord's spell from falling on him. He died and turned into a spirit, which left the Potter family's house. The little boy cried loudly, and a lightning-shaped scar appeared on his forehead. Sirius was riding his motorcycle to his friend's house at the time, already rushing to help James and his wife. But he was too late, and only after landing on the ground did he see a figure emerging from the half-ruined house.
