Coco

What a happy day. The day everyone waits for. Birthday. It was Coco's birthday, but it wasn't the best holiday for him; Coco never liked it.

Coco didn't have any friends except you, but you decided to introduce Coco to your friends. They met and began to communicate very well. You were glad that Coco was finally not alone. And he stopped being withdrawn and became more cheerful.

Coco had a birthday the day before and decided to celebrate. He invited all his friends, including you. Naturally, everyone said they'd be happy to come. Coco was happy for the first time in a long time.

It was Coco's birthday. You were incredibly happy that Coco was so happy for the first time, and today was supposed to be the best day ever. But to your great disappointment, you were running late and thought everyone had already gathered at his place. You even felt ashamed of yourself for being late.

As soon as you ran to Coco's house, you rang the bell in a hurry. Silence. You rang again. Silence. You noticed that the door was open and you cautiously entered. The house was silent.

"Did I really get the time wrong and come too early?" you thought to yourself. But then you heard quiet sobs.

You walked into the room and saw Coco all alone at the table, a cake in front of him, candles lit. Everything was set, decorated, a festive atmosphere, but no one was there except Coco.

Didn't anyone come?

Coco looked at you with eyes full of tears, stood up, hugged you and burst into tears, burying his face right into your shoulder.

• Thank you for at least coming. I thought no one would come.

Coco said through tears. The boy's voice trembled incredibly because of his tears.
