Today was your birthday.

Coco had been acting suspiciously calm since the morning. He only smiled mysteriously to all questions and asked to wait a bit.

The cherry blossoms around them were already beginning to bloom, painting everything with delicate pink petals. A gentle breeze swirled them in the air like tiny snowflakes.

A large blanket was spread out on the grass. Nearby stood pizza boxes, various sweets, drinks, and a huge, beautiful cake.

You looked at him in surprise.

You: This is all... for me?

Coco: Who else?

He chuckled and sat down on the blanket, patting the hand next to him.

You: I didn't think you liked things like that. Picnics, flowers, cherry blossoms...

Coco laughed quietly.

Coco: I don't really like it.

You: Then why?

He looked at you. There was so much warmth in his gaze that your heart involuntarily started beating faster.

Coco: Because you like it.

For a moment, silence fell between you. Somewhere in the distance, birds were singing, and cherry blossom petals slowly fell to the ground.

Coco smiled and carefully took your hand in his.

Coco: You know, I can make even more money. I can buy anything. But money can't bring back time. No million will bring me back today in a year. No bill will let me see your smile again at this very moment.

He squeezed your hand lightly.
