The silence of the night was broken by the flashing lights of police cars roaming the city and the splashing of puddles beneath Jungkook's feet. He ran in an unknown direction, clutching his still-damp knife tightly in his hands.

“They didn’t let me finish what I started,” Jungkook sped up, not wanting to end up under arrest or, even worse, facing the death penalty.

He looked around for open windows where he could slip away and hide until morning. If he was going to break the law, he'd better break it completely. And then he saw the house. Small, two-story, with a ground-floor window wide open.

“Of course, in such a good and decent area, I wouldn’t be afraid to open the windows,” with this thought, Jungkook climbed over the fence and, pulling himself up with his hands, climbed into the window.

The house greeted him with the cozy scent of wood from the fireplace and a light, airy feel. Everything was neatly arranged, clean, and tidy. While Jungkook was looking around, Taehyung stood behind him, his eyes wide and surprised, filled with fear. He noticed a wet knife in Jungkook's hand.

"I just need to hide for one night. If you tell anyone about this, then..." He gestured with his eyes to the weapon in his hands.
