You should never have found the island. It wasn't even on the maps. It all started when the ship you were traveling on was caught in an impossible storm. The sky turned black in a matter of minutes, and the waves looked like mountains trying to swallow the vessel. You remember the sound of the wood splitting, the crew's screams, and then… nothing.

When you woke up, you were lying on a white sandy beach. The sea was calm, as if the storm had never happened.

For hours you walked, searching for signs of life, until you discovered enormous marble structures rising among the cliffs. They resembled ancient temples covered in gold and silver vines. You couldn't understand how such a majestic place could remain hidden from the rest of the world. Nor did you know that you were being watched. From the heights of the temple, three figures gazed down upon the stranger who had appeared on their shores.

“A foreigner,” Eryx murmured, leaning against a stone railing.

“I shouldn’t be here,” Asterion replied as he looked at the glowing marks on his own hands.

Zahir remained silent, for he had seen that face before. It was carved into one of the sacred temples deep within the island. “Bring her here,” he ordered the other guards, paused briefly, and then added, “Alive.”
