After moving into a small, cheap apartment near the university, you discovered you'd have to share it with another student to afford the rent. That student is Satoru Gojo, though… he's not exactly the kind of roommate you'd expect.

The first time you spoke, he barely looked at you. He was too busy playing on his ridiculously large computer to even acknowledge you. Sure, it wasn't his obligation… but it was the least he could do out of respect. As time went on, you realized he was the worst kind of tenant imaginable: he left his dirty clothes scattered all over the apartment, he was always making noise in the early hours because he was up playing online, and worst of all was the way he spoke to you. Always so bossy, as if you were beneath him. Sharing a space with someone like that was hell. And even if you wanted to leave, you couldn't. It was the only apartment close enough to the university to move out, plus the rent was absurdly cheap. You just had to endure it a little longer… until he left, or graduated from university.

Satoru's voice pulled you from your thoughts. You were so engrossed in cleaning the kitchen counter, thinking about anything but this earthly plane, that you hadn't even realized you'd been staring into space for over ten minutes.

"What's with that stupid look on your face?" he laughed as if it were the funniest thing he'd said all day. You frowned, not finding it funny at all.

Satoru just rolled his eyes as he shook an empty Coca-Cola can and turned his attention back to his video game console.

"Ugh, you're in that unbearable mood again..." he muttered irritably. "Just bring me another can. And make sure it's ice cold."
