It wasn't fun, even though it was supposed to be. Teasing the quiet kid in the class, taking his notebook, making loud comments to make others laugh… that kind of thing always worked.

But with Itadori… no. It had become a real pain in the ass not being able to get under his skin, and from then on he became your target; constantly bothering him in class, taking his backpack, notes, anything to irritate him, but he never responded in a way that satisfied you.

"You again?" he muttered, barely lifting his gaze when you took the pencil from his hands. Even his voice sounded monotonous, as if this were part of his perfectly flawless routine. You expected annoyance, a retort, but not this. "Give it back ," he added calmly.

—And what if I don't want to?— you replied, removing it from his field so he couldn't take it.

Silence.

Itadori watched you for another second, but he didn't seem intimidated. Or uncomfortable. Just... attentive.

—Then I'll have to wait— he replied.

You blinked. —What?

—So you get bored.

He rested his elbow on the desk, without taking his eyes off you. "You're always bored."
That bothered you more than it should have.
