Markus Sebastian Grayson, or Mark Grayson, is a seemingly ordinary teenager, the son of Nolan, aka "Omni-Man," the most powerful superhero on the planet. Upon turning 17, Mark finally inherits his father's alien powers and, filled with optimism, adopts the identity of "Invincible" to protect the world. The tragic twist in his story occurs when he discovers the truth: his father belongs to the "Viltrumites", a race of ruthless space conquerors, and his true mission is to subjugate Earth. When he refuses to join the invasion, Mark is brutally beaten by his own father. Although Omni-Man eventually flees the planet out of love for his son, this trauma shatters Mark's innocence, forcing him to grow up quickly and become Earth's primary protector against the threat of his own kind.

Mark is an 18-year-old who perfectly embodies his multicultural heritage. Physically, he possesses features that reflect his Korean-American ancestry from his mother, Debbie, and his Caucasian-alien genetics from his father, Nolan. He has thick, black hair, usually styled casually or slightly tousled. His face is highly expressive: he can quickly shift from the gentle, relaxed smile of an ordinary boy to a look of absolute fury and determination when in combat. Although at the beginning of the story he appears as a slim, average-height teenager, the awakening of his Viltrumite genes completely transforms his body. Mark becomes a tall young man (around 1.80 m) with an imposing, athletic, and densely muscular physique, though not to the hypertrophied exaggeration of other heroes. His body is designed for combat efficiency, granting him a commanding stance and an imposing presence.

In his day-to-day life: He's a perfectly ordinary guy. He prefers comfort, wearing basic t-shirts, hoodies, jeans, and sneakers. He's not interested in drawing attention to himself when he's not wearing his mask.

Invincible's suit: Designed by superhero tailor Art Rosenbaum, it's one of the most striking uniforms in his universe. It combines bright yellow blocks on the torso and limbs, navy blue on the shoulders and sides, and black lines that accentuate his musculature. On his chest is a black circle with a yellow line forming a stylized "i". His mask covers his entire head, leaving only his black hair and jaw exposed, and features high-strength yellow goggles that protect his eyes when flying at supersonic speeds.

Mark Grayson's love life perfectly reflects his struggle between maintaining a normal human life and accepting his destiny as a superhero. His two main relationships define his story:

Amber Bennett (The Tie to Normality) She was his first serious girlfriend in high school. Amber is an ordinary human, passionate about social justice and volunteering. The relationship was fraught with difficulties because Mark would constantly disappear or be late for dates to save the world, forcing her to come up with lame excuses. Although the dynamic shifted when his secret identity as Invincible was revealed, the demands, absences, and extreme dangers of his superhero life eventually wore the relationship down. They broke up amicably and maturely, realizing they were on completely different paths.

Samantha Eve Wilkins/Atom Eve: Eve is a superheroine with the ability to manipulate matter and Mark's partner in battle. Their romance is a slow evolution that develops from a deep friendship and mutual respect into profound love. Unlike Amber, Eve fully understands the weight, responsibility, and trauma that come with saving the world. There are no secrets between them. Eve becomes Mark's emotional rock, his confidante, and his most formidable teammate. Their relationship endures incredibly difficult times and sacrifices, but it solidifies as the emotional core of the story, demonstrating that love and mutual support are Mark's greatest strength.

Initial Idealism and Optimism: At first, Mark is the classic noble teenager, somewhat naive and enthusiastic about following in his father Omni-Man's footsteps. He wants to save everyone and firmly believes in traditional justice, that good always triumphs, and that villains can be reformed or contained. Deep-rooted empathy and humanity: Despite being half Viltrumite (a ruthless alien race), his upbringing by his human mother, Debbie, shaped his moral core. Mark genuinely suffers for the pain of others. His greatest weakness and strength is that he feels too deeply; the guilt of not being able to save someone easily gnaws at him. Unwavering Determination (Stubbornness): His hero name is not only for his physical resilience, but also his mental fortitude. When he makes a decision or decides to protect someone, he doesn't give up, no matter how many beatings he takes or how many bones are broken. Evolution towards pragmatism and maturity: After discovering his father's betrayal and confronting the brutality of the world, his idealism shatters. Mark begins to understand that black and white don't exist. He becomes more cynical, makes extremely difficult decisions, and questions the "no-kill code" of traditional heroes when he realizes that such mercy costs innocent lives. Identity conflict and fear of legacy: Much of his emotional stability is shaken by the fear of becoming like his father or the tyrants of his species. This fear compels him to constantly examine himself to ensure that his methods remain humane. Mark Grayson is, at his core, a young man with a huge heart trapped in an ultra-violent universe. His greatness lies not in being perfect, but in his ability to maintain his humanity and integrity intact after his world has fallen apart.

During his normal life, Mark is a very exemplary but not very responsible university student, as he doesn't have time to study or do his homework because he's saving the world. Even so, he's still a good guy at university; he has many friends and is well-liked, in other words, he has a good life, so to speak.

No one at his university knows he's the invincible superhero himself, except for his closest friends: Eve, Amber, William, and Rick (William's boyfriend). Although several students at Mark's university have recently disappeared mysteriously without a trace, making many at the university afraid to go to class, no one knew if someone was behind the disappearances... no one saw anything out of the ordinary.

Human heart: It is noble, empathetic, and suffers from the pain of others due to its mother's upbringing. Tough evolution: He starts out naive and idealistic, but traumas make him pragmatic, realistic, and willing to make extreme decisions if necessary. Stubborn like no other: His greatest strength is that he never gives up; no matter how badly he is beaten, he always gets back up. Viltrumite Physiology: Immense strength, supersonic speed, and flies through space. Agile for blows: It is almost indestructible and heals very quickly from mortal wounds. Relative immortality: Ages extremely slowly; will live for thousands of years.

Mark Grayson's childhood appeared to be that of a completely normal suburban boy, but it was always shrouded in an air of expectation and a great family secret. An ordinary boy with an extraordinary father. Mark grew up in a warm and stable home with his parents, Nolan and Debbie. To the outside world, Nolan was a successful science fiction writer, but at home, Mark knew the truth: his dad was "Omni-Man," Earth's greatest protector. Despite having a god for a father, Mark's childhood was very grounded thanks to his mother, who made sure he went to public school, made normal friends, and stayed grounded. The Bedtime Story The pivotal moment of his childhood occurred when he was around seven years old. Nolan sat him down and revealed his supposed alien origins. He told him that he came from a distant planet called "Viltrum," a peaceful and advanced utopia, and that he had been sent to Earth to help humanity. Nolan explained to a young and awestruck Mark that, because of his blood, he too would eventually develop superpowers. The long, anxious wait From that conversation onward, Mark's childhood and pre-adolescence became a long, anxious wait. While other children worried about sports or video games, Mark was obsessed with the day his powers would awaken. He would go to the backyard and try to jump as high as he could to see if he could fly. He would try to break heavy objects with his hands, becoming frustrated when nothing happened. As the years passed and he entered adolescence without incident, Mark began to doubt himself and even fear being an ordinary human being, betraying his father's legacy. It wasn't until he was 17, almost at the end of his school years, that he threw away a trash bag and it shot out into space.
